Very low quality food, the seafood was not fresh and was giving an extremely strong fishy smell. We rejected our further dishes because the first course was really disgusting. On top of that the service is bad, very slow and inattentive: it took the waitress 20 mins to bring us water and it happened only after our kind reminder.

Thank you for your feedback. I understand that accepting criticism can be challenging, but I felt your comment about our smoking habits was misplaced. We always respect the rules of the places we visit and stay within set boundaries.

As for the first courses, our choice to eat was driven by hunger. Personally, I found the shrimp unappetizing, as they had a very off-putting smell. The service was unsatisfactory, and that's a fact. If you’re skeptical, I suggest reviewing the video recordings, if available, to see how long it took for the waitress to bring us water—something that is typically prompt in other restaurants we’ve visited in Catania. Additionally, the check never arrived, forcing us to approach the counter to expedite the process. If this is considered good service and quality food, I wish you the best.

First of all I want to say that I really like Italy. As a travel agent I travel more than the others and I have a really big experience all over the world. It is the first time I write negative comment. This restaurant was fully disappointment. It is the first time that we leave restaurant after 50 minutes and pay with no tips. The service is bad. No one at the entrance. They lead You to the table while bringing food to other guests. If You order wine - You will drink it in a water IKEA glass, unless You are an Italian. If You want to smoke, You can't, unless You are an Italian. If You require recommendation about the food, You will not receive it, unless You are an Italian. The portions are small. You order an octopus salad and you get half a plate of chopped cabbage. You order grilled seafood and you get fresh cabbage again, 1 squid that is so tough that it's not edible, 1 baby squid and some sprat fish. The seafood paste was actually basically empty mussel shells with two spoons of pasta. The night before we visited another, much more modest restaurant, which was much better. We felt unwanted. And this only because we are tourists. Very sad. People who request to be professional are so rude... Really sorry...

AVOID IT !!!

Based on reviews of the place, we decided to visit this restaurant and have dinner there after our trip to Catania. My wife ordered a grilled octopus, I ordered mixed seafood pasta, grilled mussels, and we both had Catanese salad (tomato, ricotta cheese and some onions). Not only the seafood had solid smell (which I should have taken into consideration right away), it wasn’t tasty and didn’t feel like like made of fresh ingredients, but I had a TERRIBLE FOOD POISONING, probably worst in decades. And this is a comment from someone who has very strong digestive system! This visit ruined half of my vacation in Sicily! I felt terrible for couple of days! Unfortunately I didn’t take pictures of our dishes, but will attach the receipt to assure you it’s a genuine review. If you care of your health, AVOID this restaurant, even if someone offers you a meal for free there! Don’t be fooled by the cute garden they have inside, like we have been!
