Olinto — Restaurant in Cecina

Bad experience. If there was some chaos outside for a football match, in the kitchen... the disorganisation must be very impressive. My girlfriend and I waited 15 minutes in a not busy at all restaurant only to get the menus, to then hear from the head waiter that we had to wait our turn to order... There were 3 tables waiting to order... I don't get it, I work in restaurants and pubs... This is not how you treat someone. After 50 minutes we finally managed to eat. The dishes were good but the experience was ruined by the waiting and the unwelcomeness of the owner and of the head waiter. The "runners" were just following orders, they were more accommodating and helpful.

The whole experience was not bad per say and all the food was actually really good expect mine. I had mixed grilled fish but when it arrived it was already quite cold. I ate the tuna first which kept it's temperature better than everything else so I didn't notice right away. The clams were revolting due to the low temperature. The taste was good but the temperature significantly diminished it. All the other food was really good though we did find 2 strands of hair in 2 foods. Service was alright though quite lengthy. Cenare al Ristorante Olinto a Cecina è stata un’esperienza che va ben oltre il semplice mangiare bene: è un viaggio nei sapori autentici del mare, guidato da una squadra di persone straordinarie.

Il pesce è freschissimo, selezionato con cura in base alla pesca e alla stagione. Ogni piatto racconta il territorio, ma se dobbiamo scegliere una vera protagonista della serata, è senza dubbio la cheesecake alla tartare di cernia – un piatto sorprendente, creativo, perfettamente bilanciato tra delicatezza e sapidità marina. E la cosa più bella? La tartare può variare in base al pescato del giorno, quindi ogni volta è una scoperta diversa, sempre all’altezza delle aspettative.

Un grazie di cuore a tutto lo staff, che si distingue per gentilezza, preparazione e simpatia. Il servizio ai tavoli è impeccabile: attento, sorridente, mai invadente. E poi c’è lei, Samantha – vera padrona di casa, donna di mondo, che sa accoglierti con calore e farti sentire subito a tuo agio. È raro trovare qualcuno che sappia coniugare eleganza e autenticità in modo così naturale. Samanta, ti vogliamo bene.

E a vegliare su tutto con la saggezza di chi ha scritto la storia di questo posto, c’è Olinto, il padre di Samantha: una figura carismatica, discreta ma presente, un supervisore meraviglioso che rappresenta la vera anima del ristorante.
