ZAYT Restaurant — Restaurant in Cefalù

5-Stars all around. Stand out dining experience during our honeymoon in Sicily. Absolutely accommodating to any request we had, STELLAR service, and excellent food. This is a truly upscale dining experience. We do not eat pork, and I don’t like seafood.. they curated our “welcome snacks” exactly to our tastes, but similar enough that we still felt like we were eating the same things, I found this remarkable and really carefully planned and thoughtful. The focaccia was the best I’ve ever had and I’m still thinking about it. All of our servers were incredibly attentive and kind, however Salvatore really went above and beyond and provided stand-out service. In general, the service here is like American-style restaurant service. They are fantastic. Every single plate was perfect, beautifully plated and tasted delicious. I also adored the location, quiet and away from the chaos, beautiful sunset sea views, and a very elegant resort backdrop. Aggiornamento della recensione ad Agosto 2024 Purtroppo la seconda visita al ristorante, avvenuta 3 settimane fa, ha spento un po' gli entusiasmi. Nulla da dire sulla cucina sempre di valore (anche se stavolta qualche piatto scelto dalla carta mi ha convinto meno), e la cortesia dello staff, ma il servizio al tavolo è stato lentissimo, troppo. Pur in uno scenario diverso rispetto alla visita precedente (6 commensali con 3 menu diversi, nella settimana di ferragosto), la durata della cena per lo stesso numero di portate (7, inclusi amouse bouche, pre-dessert e pasticceria) è passata da poco più di 1h e 30 ad oltre 3h, rompendo il ritmo di questa tipologia di cene, e creando troppo spazio tra una portata ed un'altra (una semplice matematica vi dice che tra un piatto ed un'altro passavano circa 30 minuti). Se questa esperienza è stata in se negativa, ancora peggio a mio parere che il ristorante abbia reagito solo al momento della nostra prima lamentela (ormai erano passate le 3 ore), informandoci che avevano del personale in meno in cucina e per scusarci ci offrivano il caffe/amaro. Personalmente, in questo tipo di struttura, per prima cosa avrei informato il tavolo del problema in cucina ancora prima di prendere le ordinazioni (e se possibile ancora prima di arrivare al ristorante), poi mi sarei scusato nel corso della cena, senza aspettare la lamentela del cliente, infine avrei offerto una compensazione un po' diversa (offrire il dolce ad esempio? Regalare una bottiglia di viso?) che il classico caffè/amaro che è comune in ristoranti di tutt'altro livello. Spero che questo mio feedback possa risultare utile al ristorante per affinare questi dettagli di servizio e poter puntare- come la cucina e lo staff meriterebbe-ad un riconoscimento "stellato".

Finalmente una cucina di livello "stellato" nei dintorni di Cefalù. Piatti eccellenti sotto tutti gli aspetti: materie prime, preparazione, equilibrio e presentazione. Servizio professionale ma non freddo, come ci si aspetta per questo tipo di ristorante. Prezzi adeguati. Ambiente elegante e moderno, all'interno di un lussuoso resort. Peccato solo che il ristorante non possa godere della stupenda vista mare che è visibile da altri angoli del resort. Un posto dove tornare...

My man and I discovered Zayt on our trip to Cefalù, and it was truly the highlight of our vacation.

The food was absolutely incredible — each dish a real masterpiece! We were amazed by the creativity and quality — it’s clear they are prepared with true passion for cooking. The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, and the presentation simply beautiful.

The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, treating every guest with genuine warmth and care. The charming setting only added to the wonderful experience.

A special thanks as well to the sommelier, who recommended the finest wines from Etna — they made the evening unforgettable.
