‼️ UPDATE FOR THE OWNER ‼️ ( original review still below ) Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, it’s clear you’ve confused me with someone else, as none of what you described reflects my visit. The bar was not crowded, there were only a few tables occupied, and the events you outlined simply didn’t happen. It’s disappointing to see a response that doesn’t address my actual experience at all.
What’s even more concerning is that instead of acknowledging the feedback, you’ve chosen to dismiss it by painting an entirely different picture — either as a way to deflect responsibility or to make my review seem exaggerated or invalid. That kind of attitude is unprofessional and frankly disrespectful. It was my experience, and I have every right to share how I felt without being gaslit or belittled.
If this kind of mix-up with customers is a recurring issue, it might be worth looking at how things are handled internally, rather than assuming the fault lies with the people who walk through your door.
I’m open to visiting again in the future — and if the experience is genuinely better, I’ll gladly update my review. But for now, this stands as a reflection of how I was treated and how it made me feel.
‼️ORIGINAL REVIEW ‼️ I visited this café hoping for a warm, inclusive space—especially after seeing the “No Anxiety” sign on the door. Unfortunately, I had the opposite experience. I tried to order in Italian (as I’m learning), and my order was misunderstood. When I tried to clarify, my drink was changed without asking, and I was charged extra for something I didn’t order.
One staff member was kind and tried to help, but another dismissed me and told her, in Italian, that I wouldn’t understand—despite the fact that I had just politely asked to use English. It felt disheartening and unwelcoming, especially after making a genuine effort.
The experience left me anxious, disrespected, and out €1 I didn’t intend to spend. If you’re going to claim to be an “anxiety-free” space, treating people with patience and kindness—especially those trying their best—should...
Read moreTourist from Canada here. Very, very friendly and accommodating staff. Can’t really ask for a better view of the ocean from here and has an assortment of food ranging from pasta, sandwiches and burgers. It’s not a large selection but the food quality is top notch. Drink menu on the other hand offers many more options!
As for the food quality, pesto is original to this area so it’s a no brainer that any pesto pasta is just simply amazing. As a North American, after having just ordered a classic burger for 6.50 euros; it was the best burger I’ve had in my life! And even with some miscommunications with our orders, the staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating.
Overall, an amazing stop to have either in the afternoon or before dinner. Dinner is also viable here but just be aware it’s not a huge menu (given that it’s a bar). For smokers; you are allowed to smoke outside as well (at the tables). We really recommend stopping by just to get the ambiance of the sea and this beautiful country. 10/10 would...
Read moreWent to pay and the bartender told me 16.70 Euro. Gave him 15 and then pulled out a bunch of Euro coins that was about 3.5 Euro so I give him these and he wants more. Keeps saying in broken English that the coins are his. Try to explain that he is an idiot and this makes no sense, but alas it was like talking to a dumb, brick wall. So I gave him a 5 Euro note and he gave me the coins back. Frigging bizarre and honestly awful service. Will not be going back there. The view was awesome but wine...
