âźď¸ UPDATE FOR THE OWNER âźď¸ ( original review still below ) Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, itâs clear youâve confused me with someone else, as none of what you described reflects my visit. The bar was not crowded, there were only a few tables occupied, and the events you outlined simply didnât happen. Itâs disappointing to see a response that doesnât address my actual experience at all.
Whatâs even more concerning is that instead of acknowledging the feedback, youâve chosen to dismiss it by painting an entirely different picture â either as a way to deflect responsibility or to make my review seem exaggerated or invalid. That kind of attitude is unprofessional and frankly disrespectful. It was my experience, and I have every right to share how I felt without being gaslit or belittled.
If this kind of mix-up with customers is a recurring issue, it might be worth looking at how things are handled internally, rather than assuming the fault lies with the people who walk through your door.
Iâm open to visiting again in the future â and if the experience is genuinely better, Iâll gladly update my review. But for now, this stands as a reflection of how I was treated and how it made me feel.
âźď¸ORIGINAL REVIEW âźď¸ I visited this cafĂŠ hoping for a warm, inclusive spaceâespecially after seeing the âNo Anxietyâ sign on the door. Unfortunately, I had the opposite experience. I tried to order in Italian (as Iâm learning), and my order was misunderstood. When I tried to clarify, my drink was changed without asking, and I was charged extra for something I didnât order.
One staff member was kind and tried to help, but another dismissed me and told her, in Italian, that I wouldnât understandâdespite the fact that I had just politely asked to use English. It felt disheartening and unwelcoming, especially after making a genuine effort.
The experience left me anxious, disrespected, and out âŹ1 I didnât intend to spend. If youâre going to claim to be an âanxiety-freeâ space, treating people with patience and kindnessâespecially those trying their bestâshould...
Read moreTourist from Canada here. Very, very friendly and accommodating staff. Canât really ask for a better view of the ocean from here and has an assortment of food ranging from pasta, sandwiches and burgers. Itâs not a large selection but the food quality is top notch. Drink menu on the other hand offers many more options!
As for the food quality, pesto is original to this area so itâs a no brainer that any pesto pasta is just simply amazing. As a North American, after having just ordered a classic burger for 6.50 euros; it was the best burger Iâve had in my life! And even with some miscommunications with our orders, the staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating.
Overall, an amazing stop to have either in the afternoon or before dinner. Dinner is also viable here but just be aware itâs not a huge menu (given that itâs a bar). For smokers; you are allowed to smoke outside as well (at the tables). We really recommend stopping by just to get the ambiance of the sea and this beautiful country. 10/10 would...
Read moreWent to pay and the bartender told me 16.70 Euro. Gave him 15 and then pulled out a bunch of Euro coins that was about 3.5 Euro so I give him these and he wants more. Keeps saying in broken English that the coins are his. Try to explain that he is an idiot and this makes no sense, but alas it was like talking to a dumb, brick wall. So I gave him a 5 Euro note and he gave me the coins back. Frigging bizarre and honestly awful service. Will not be going back there. The view was awesome but wine...
