It looks like a small family-ran business and the setting and colours are perfect for a dinner. They are very friendly and fun people to meet. They have a good selection of Italian starters, mains and desserts. The antipasti plate was good for the two of us and it had various tasty goodies. The pasta is home made and not your regular spaghetti but thicker and a perfectly al dente. It was a great experience, cacio e pepe was great but the carbonara was the favourite of both of us. A bit salty but the taste was on a next level. They have about 15-20 kinds of wine, some of them are local. Also some other alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and cocktails. We tried a local red and took the bottle home to finish it off, it was so good. Tiramisu was just a basic one but it was still tasty and didn't take from the great experience altogether. We ate here the night before our flight home from Ciampino, and it ended up being the best meal of our entire trip, even after spending time in Rome, Naples, and Sorrento! The restaurant felt truly authentic from the moment we walked in. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and their knowledge of the menu made our experience even better. They guided us through their recommendations with genuine passion and care, and every dish they suggested was spot on.

The food was absolutely exceptional, fresh, perfectly seasoned, and full of authentic Italian flavour. The wine paired beautifully, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet full of character, making it the perfect way to end our holiday.

We were drawn to Il Marchese because of some Yelp reviews. As reported, the food was wonderful! One of us had the sliced beef (me), the other the filet of beef with Gorgonzola sauce. Both were just delicious. The meat was tender, especially tasty, and cooked on the grill perfectly. To top off a great meal, we had tiramisu, also tasty in its own right.
