Great place for haute cuisine. Food was very well presented and tastewise was very enjoyable. Portions were rather small even by European standards and prices went on thehigher side.
Service was attentive but not overbearing, only issue was that we were given initially the prior year's menus with a few different dishes and lowee prices.
Error was forgivable, but cause the loss of 1 star along the problem caused by not having a dessert menu at least in Italian. There was none at all nor italian or English. The list of what was available was recited by the male server (owner?) who did not speak English therefore forcing one of the patrons sitting at the table to translate each of the options available (about 6, can't recall exactly).
The place gas outdoor seating in a nice garden, but the problem there is that when the season is particularly hot and humid and there was not even thesmallest breeze to soothe that miserable weather (the male server had visible sweat stains and we were also rather uncomfortable), at the very least they should have fans to move some air around the dining space. And given they have gazeboa over most of the tables, they could use discretely places ceiling fans (that would be our warm...
Read moreThis place is amazing. Every time my wife and I come to Sicily, it’s the first spot we choose to eat at. The food is out of this world—fresh, full of flavor, and made with so much love. From the pasta to the seafood to the desserts, every dish tastes like it came straight from someone’s home kitchen. We even chose this restaurant for our rehearsal dinner, and they had no problem accommodating 80 people. What blew me away is that most of our guests were Americans who were a little nervous about trying authentic Sicilian dishes—but once the food came out, they couldn’t stop raving about it. The service was fantastic, the atmosphere welcoming, and the wine was just the cherry on top. If you’re anywhere near this place, don’t miss it—you’ll leave...
Read moreStunningly beautiful restaurant, a hidden gem, nestled in a residential area. Classy place. Recommend a booking before sunset to see the beautiful views of the mountains, and the sun setting on the sea. Good wine (no expert), great food, great service. A bit pricey, but the food quality and presentation matches. Also only a few minutes walk from a very good, B&B Cinisi 89. Highly recommended. Truly fine dining in Sicily. Was a great last night before we flew out from Palermo Airport the...
