Cocobongo — Restaurant in Civitanova Marche

Places like this are the reason I love exploring new areas. It's located in a beachfront and looks... OK. Certainly the outer facade is not their strong suit here. But we were in a tight spot - hungry and craving pizza, on a Monday. And believe me, it's difficult to find a good open joint in Italy on a Monday.

Anyway, we were blown away with the quality of their pizzas! The dough is not your typical Neapolitan, but thinner, and a bit crunchier and flakier, with small rims. The toppings were fresh and high quality. I also heard from those of my friends who'd ordered drinks that they were done properly - tasty and not diluted, like in so many beachfront places! It's definitely not a fast food, even if the outside might suggest otherwise.

As a bonus, they have a wonderful selection of tasty gelato.

The place was busy, and waiting times were slightly on the longer side, which is understandable given they were the one good pizzeria open that evening. The staff, however, were a delight and almost dancing between tables. Their English is OK, you can communicate effectively using half English, and half made up sign/point/wave language. La pizza è molto buona, l'atmosfera è informale e sicuramente diversa da qualsiasi altro posto a Civitanova per via del minigolf e di altre postazioni di gioco per intrattenere adulti e bambini. Il verde, la fontana e il mare a due passi rendono questo posto un'oasi particolare in cui rilassarsi, divertirsi e consumare anche ottimi apertivi. La formula del tagliere e cocktail ha un ottimo prezzo considerata la qualità del cibo proposto e la quantità. Ogni tanto, quando ci sono le partite che vengono proiettate su maxi schermo, il servizio può essere un po' più lento del solito ma sempre estremamente cortese. Se andate per cena è vivamente consigliata la prenotazione, non per mancanza di posti ma per via della grandissima affluenza (comprensibile in un posto così!). Molto comodo anche...

Sono stato diverse volte a mangiare la pizza e mi sono trovato sempre molto bene. A differenza di stasera che prendendo un gelato al cono , non arrivava mai nessuno al bancone per servirmi ,al che ho chiesto gentilmente se qualcuno mi poteva servire e mi sono sentito rispondere da una ragazza del personale indaffarata con una torta ….eh ma io ho da fare con la torta … e io ho risposto …e allora me ne vado cosa devo fare … da lì a poco è venuta un altra ragazza a farmi il gelato … mah ….sinceramente sono molto deluso di questo trattamento , e nonostante il gelato lo reputo abbastanza buono purtroppo per questo atteggiamento non adeguato nei miei confronti credo che cambierò gelateria .(Personale mediocre e nel mio caso un...
