We stumbled upon this nice little restaurant that was crowded with a lot of people eating their pizza so we quickly took interest and decided to give their food a try. For around 3,50 euro, you get a decently big slice of pizza that is folded and then wrapped in paper to make it easier to eat and walk at the same time. They make it so convenient to eat because this place doesn't have any chairs so you have to eat standing up or just continue walking to another destination. The place right outside the shop isn't super clean though which makes a lot of flies gather and they are definitely annoying while you are trying to eat in peace. The food itself was amazing. The thin flaky thin crust was delicious and the flavours from their tomato sauce only made it better. Since it was so thin, it made the pizza so much lighter and I really appreciate that. Read moreAs a tourist, I was looking for a little place out of the way to eat, away from the cheap tat sellers patrolling the streets. I found this place, and as soon as I saw the queue of locals, I knew I was the right place.

I ended up with two big slabs for under 2.50 euro. The base was light and crispy, and I really enjoyed it. I'm curious about what the 10-12 euro pizzas with different toppings look like. I guess I'll find out on...

Let's just say, I was in Civitavecchia for about 11/18 days during the Christmas holidays and I requested my girlfriend to drive me there 5 out of those 11 days to get a couple of slices for breakfast due to jetlag. I would also bring a couple of slices back for her family. Definitely need to try it.
HOT TIP: if you go during peak hours of 11-noon, they have a special pizza they make during that time. That's a must try and I won't tell you what it is. PIZZERIA LA...
