Arnold's Pub since 1980 — Restaurant in Como

Loved this place! We were staying next door for a few days, and happened to come on a night when they were doing a cider tasting night - they had the cidermaker there talking to people so we did a flight and had some snacks. We had such a nice time that we came back another day. They have all these pictures on the walls that people have drawn and put up from all over so we drew a kangaroo holding a Canadian flag which summarizes our family. Kind of old-school, vibey, comfortably dim watering hole that would be welcome in any neighborhood: wooden tables, walls lined with vintage rolling stone magazine and pictures drawn by customers (paper and pens provided). Rockin' music, including trad jazz, metal, indie (you can download it too). On top of this it has a good choice of local beer, cider and gin (I didn't check the wine), great service and friendly locals, which make this bar one of the best spots...

Just came from here, great food, a break from pizza and pasta and all things touristy. Just a few steps from the Hilton in Como. Friendly service (which isn’t everywhere in Como), great beer and great sandwiches. My only regret is I don’t have a place like this a few steps from my own home.
