As you enter the hotel you are met with some charming decor. The staff in the hotel including waiting staff for serving breakfast were all very friendly. Absolutely no issues with anyone. The hotel is in a fabulous location, it is about ten minutes walk to Como town centre and the ferry port. It is close to a 24/7 market which is a pleasant food shop, not your cheap basic local but also not extortionate. It was a great market especially convenient for those of you like me that needs water all the time..to note, the drinking water in Como is safe apparently and I have had no issues drinking from the tap. I am quite the water snob as I live and come from Scotland who have the one of the world's best drinking water supply.||The rooms could benefit with some modernisation. The decorating blankets on the bed are not my cup of tea to sleep in. We had used one of the blankets from the shelves with the AC (very dated unit and requires updating, it also wasn't as powerful as some might prefer but suited us) on full at night as the average temperature was 31 degrees Celsius...not great for a Scot!||The bathroom was adequate and also quite dated, however you were provided with a good pressured shower and a bidae if that is a requirement for you. A very basic hairdryer is provided. A dated telephone is provided, a TV, and kettle with complimentary classic teas and coffee sachets but interestingly no milk ha. You are provided with a mini fridge however sadly empty. Some bottled water would have increased my rating probably as you have at least provided the fridge, might as well stock it!||I will say however, the room wasn't cleaned to a high standard. There was dust on surfaces including the hangers and some stray hairs on the bedding (thankfully not pubic hairs!), no bed bugs were noted!||The bed was adequately comfortable with a firm/medium support. I have a bad back, shoulder and neck and they weren't aggravated any worse than normal so you should take that as review on its own!||We had breakfast included. I don't think they provide lunch or dinner. The dining area was quaint with pleasent decor. The arrangement of the food was pleasing. The food itself was your run of the mill continental and was ok in my opinion. There are more sweet options than savoury just a few meats. I did not see any option for a hot breakfast however I didn't ask so I can't really comment too much. It certainly wasn't obvious. We were staying for 4 days so eating the same types of sweets didn't really appeal to me however just my opinion. The staff were very friendly and always immediately asked if what you'd like to drink (teas and arrangements of coffees).||Overall I enjoyed the hotel, it could do with better cleaning of the rooms, some modernisation of the rooms and better range of breakfast options. Overall we were satisfied for the price we got in a great location. Good value for money, it was a three star and I wasn't disappointed nor posively...
