Navedano — Restaurant in Como

From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, the owners were so welcoming. We felt right at home. We sat down and ordered our food and the staff was very accommodating. They asked us many times if we needed anything. They were very attentive. We then heard about the "Specialty of the house" chicken that is wrapped in Clay that is made a day before and we decided to make a reservation as well for an additional night. The food was out of this works. We recommend this restaurant to anybody coming into the Lake Como area. When you drive up to the restaurant it looks like it's in the middle of nowhere but then when you arrive it was the most beautiful scenery you have ever seen. We had an amazing experience at this traditional restaurant. Located in a lovely and perfectly kept garden, this place is the oldest restaurant of the region and has been within the same family since 1896 (currently: 5th generation!). The owners are extremely nice and attentive, the service impeccable and the food excellent. The restaurant may be slightly old fashioned, but it gives a very warm atmosphere. Great restaurant. Still ran by same old family. Amazing food. Order the chicken a day before. They use most of the vegetables from their own garden organically grown of course. The food is fantastic but the only problem was the very expensive prices of the meals and then the extras like service and vat which doubles the price of the menu. It was teally too much and the food wasnt that much. So we left still feeling hungry after i paid 600 euros...
