Ristorante Taste Of India — Restaurant in Comunità Alto Garda e Ledro

We were genuinely looking forward to trying this Indian restaurant in Riva Del Garda. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. From the moment we started ordering, we felt a certain hesitance and even resistance from the waiter (who was apparently the manager). We’d never been there before, and it felt like we were being treated differently—almost as if there was some kind of prejudice against us (arabs?)

The food itself was another letdown. The biryani tasted like plain yellow rice without any real flavor or proper marination for the chicken, and the butter chicken was watery and tasted like it had been sitting around for hours. When we tried to discuss this politely with the manager, he outright told us he didn’t respect us and essentially asked us to leave if we didn’t like it. We felt humiliated, especially as this happened in front of other customers. As we are leaving he kept saying go out go out.

From other recent reviews we’ve seen, it seems we weren’t the only ones who experienced this kind of treatment. Overall, it wasn’t just the food that was lacking, but the entire atmosphere and attitude. I hope they improve, but for now, I can’t recommend this...

The food here was piping hot, tasty, and exactly what we asked for. We requested extra spice, and the kitchen delivered perfectly.

What really stood out was the service from the kitchen staff and waiters – absolutely phenomenal. They worked tirelessly, constantly bringing out dishes, checking in on tables, and making sure every guest was happy. Their energy, attentiveness, and genuine effort made it the best service we’ve experienced so far in Lake Garda. Truly impressed by their footwork and dedication.

The only downside was the lady taking orders. She seemed moody, unfriendly, and uninterested, with no smile or effort to guide us through the menu. It felt like she didn’t know what was happening with the orders, which contrasted sharply with the rest of the amazing team.

Overall, fantastic food and outstanding service from the waiters and kitchen staff – they made the experience memorable. A bit more consistency at the front of house would make this...

One waiter is not polite I almost fight with him then I hold my self ...I asked his colleague if I can smoke my electric cigert and he saide ok..then here he come Mr. Shooter he rises his voice to tell not allow to smoke letting all the customers be attention..I explained to him very nicely not to shoit to a guess like this but he repeatedly keep saying not allow to smoke..(eduit) ...the redone I countin eat in the restaurant because I came long way ... sny way I advised the owner to teach or train him to respect the guss.. And talked politely his name gully or something like this. I will never recommend sorry After the restaurant manager sow my comments the same waiter want to fight me and the manager stopped him..very unprofessional and street attued....I feel sorry for...
