PIZZICO — Restaurant in Comunità della Paganella

We had pizza for lunch in this restaurant. The food was tasty, prices reasonable (coperto 2€/person). We returned after a few hours for an ice cream which was also really good, but I saw that the lady behind the counter struggled with English. When I told the lady that I would like to pay by card, she said to her colleague in Italian (she didnt know I understood her) “what does she think when she wants to pay for an ice cream by card” and looked at me angrily. This felt very rude to me, if she had told me before that it was a problem to pay by card smaller amount of money, I would have paid in cash, the comment was completely unnecessary....

The restaurant was busy when we arrived so we got drinks while a table inside became available. Once inside we were served our food quickly and it was great. You can see the pizza being made and it came piping hot. If you can’t finish your pizza (they are big!) then they wrap up what’s left to take away. Il locale è veramente MOLTO bello, di recente restauro, ben manutenuto e tipicamente ambientato. I prezzi sono nella media ed il personale è cortese e si presta con rapidità. Tuttavia, due aspetti non ci hanno convinti affatto: il primo è che, essendo il locale piuttosto limitato come capienza, abbiamo trovato sgradevole la possibilità, per i clienti, di introdurre liberamente cani anche di grossa taglia; come al solito, la tendenza nell'atteggiamento delle persone è di approfittare, senza preoccuparsi di cosa accadrebbe se tutti si comportassero in un certo modo. In un locale con 4 tavoli da 4 posti, già due clienti con cani di grossa taglia avevano tolto un buon mezzo tavolo, solo per i loro animali. Questa, a nostro avviso dovrebbe essere una cosa da valutare, per i gestori. I cani possono piacere o meno (ed a noi piacciono!) ma non si possono imporre ai clienti, contando solo sul criterio delle persone. La seconda cosa è che, se in un bar di montagna chiedo uno strudel, per 4€ la fetta mi aspetto almeno uno strudel tradizionale, non una torta di mele che, per quanto buona fosse (e lo era!), non accedeva il caratteristico sapore dello strudel, mancando i pinoli, la pasta dello strudel (che non dev'essere "pasta frollal ma "pasta filo"), l'uvetta ed anche la cannella.
