We stayed in this wonderful little hotel on a recent visit to Sondrio. It is run by a lovely family who really made us feel at home. They were happy to suggest interesting things to do in the town and helped us make the most of our stay. The rooms are basic but clean and are excellent value for money. We ate in the restaurant on the second evening and wish we had done so on the previous evening too as the food was absolutely delicious. We found the Gembro while on a cycling tour of the beautiful Valtellina, which has it all, lakes, mountains, and virtually at the end of the trail the lovely city of Sondrio. The Gembro was clean, comfortable and best of all had several cycling stores within 2 minutes walk (one is right next door) so spares and repairs were easy to come by.
