I am so thrilled to have stumbled across this place - we had two days not booked before lake como and spontaneously decided to take a trip to gargnano on lake guarda beforehand and really couldn’t be happier with our decision.

After an hour of google reviews and instagram lurking we tried to get into trattoria san martino - they were busy but we’re able to squeeze us in a little later in the evening. The place was packed - with all happy faces and from what I expect bellies.

We ordered a glass of bubbly with their seafood carpaccio caught fresh - jt was delightful- then we had a beautiful bottle of Sauvignon blanc. We decided on going with white for a change since being on the coast we knew we were going to eat fish.

From start to finish every course was delightful, even more delightful then the one before. I recommend the veal Bianco ragu pasta - that is one dish I did not want to end.

The pork loin came with this unreal cheese sauce I really should’ve double checked the name of the cheese I believe it was tremosine cheese - bravaaaaa

We asked the server for the recommended fish dish and went with the special - it was a filet of coregone. A white fish done with capers, cherry tomatoes, fresh vegetable medley.

Dolci we had the lemon sorbetto it came with a small vial of aromatic juices to squeeze inside really made the dish unique and delicious. My fiancé had the panna cotta - and I ate half of it because it was so good

Besides the food being great the service was unreal we were welcomed by a highchair, kids cutlery and place setting for kids. My fiancé and I are foodies (he’s a chef) and we love splurging on nice Michelin style meals but have had a hard time this trip because they are not kid friendly. Any place we’ve tried to get into have said that our child may disturb the setting.

This place was Michelin quality, Michelin service && accepted our child - beyond

AMAZING

My partner and I had dinner there and we simply loved it!

The atmosphere is nice and cozy and the service is very friendly.

The food was just la bomba!!! The best place we ate in from all 4-5 restaurants we visited in Gargnano.

The appetizers, the pasta (we took gnocchi and carbonara), the fish and the deserts (tiramisu and lemon cream with olive oil) everything was insanely delicious. The only think I was a bit not that happy with was the tiramisu which was creative and I was expecting the traditional Italian tiramisu.

In overall a great experience totally worthy visiting if you are in Gargnano.
