Came here during our shopping at the lovely weekly mercato. It's more or less in the middle of the action, but still a bit hidden away in a backyard. But there's big sign, so you won't miss it.
Came a bit before 12.00 and there were still a few tables available. They filled up quickly and shortly after 12.00 it was fully packed and people were turned away.
Ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio, Salmon Tagliatelle and Seafood Pasta. We tried to get a seafood platter, but that depends on the catch and day. None available that day.
Staff was serving pretty quick, wine and water arrived fast. The wine was very nice. Fresh and crisp. Good priced.
The seafood pasta came with mussels, clams and razor clams. All very fresh and tasty. The sauce was a bit on the light side. The Tagliatelle were nicely cooked, creamy and with very nice and fresh salmon. But the same here like with the seafood pasta: it was all a bit light, all a bit bland. Fish and seafood quality very high though and that's why still very enjoyable.
Pizza on other tables looked good. Maybe another time around. All in all fine place for some lunch. Very fair prices for this location, not the very best Italian food we've had - but...

Pizza is one of the best in Luino and fish is really good (fritto misto di lago is a topper!). Dishes are simple and straight forward like the place and the people. Prices are from the '80, extremely fair. With all the tourist traps in Luino (know for high prices and bad food) this is one of my favorite. Very casual but if you want to eat well and do not like to be ripped off this is your place in town. Last but not least...

Siamo venuti da voi ieri sera spendendo 80€ soltanto di pesce (tralasciando quindi dessert e bevande). Per una bettola in cui ti ritrovi a mangiare all’interno di una veranda in plastica, sommersa dalla puzza di pesce fritto, su tovaglie e fazzoletti in carta, ALMENO UNO SPERA NELL’ONESTÀ. Nel polpo con le patate, il polpo scarseggiava ed era sommerso da olive e pomodorini che facevano volume. Non ci siamo lamentati personalmente perché il pesce sembrava buono ma se avessi saputo che ci saremo ritrovati ad alternarci il bagno per l’intera nottata successiva non sarei rimasta di certo in silenzio. LA COSA PEGGIORE: IL CAFFÈ. In una spesa di 100€ IN DUE, UN CAFFÈ È COSTATO 3€ . Un prezzo del genere per un ESPRESSO LISCIO lo paghi andando a cena in un ristorante chic sul lungolago di Ascona (con il cambio sono circa 3,50.-), non di certo in una baracca situata in una viuzza nascosta.. Calcolando che il dessert è costato 5€, MI CHIEDO SE UN CAFFÈ CORRETTO SIA PIÙ CARO DEL BABBÀ CHE ABBIAMO ORDINATO IERI SERA!!!..
