My review is based on two times dining here on Friday and Saturday, respectively. The Friday was, unfortunately, very poor. Our starter of mixed cheeses was mostly good, but one piece was rock solid and inedible. Must have been the bottom piece near the wax and shouldn't have been served. My girlfriend enjoyed her steak, although she wasn't asked the temperature of cooking, so it was a bit rarer than she would have liked. My side of fries came with her food and were pretty cold already, so must have been sat on the pass for a few minutes. My pizza didn't come for another 10 minutes at least, and my partner had already finished her food. It was a very busy Friday, and the staff seemed flustered, so it wasnt a huge deal but just a bit disappointing. Also some customers sat next to us had a dog that peed near us which smelled strong. The situation was just a little annoying.

We decided to try again the following night, and the service and food were much better. My partner had a courgette soup, which was very tasty. The brushetta was nice too. Sea bass was cooked to perfection also. The prices are very good for the overall quality of the food and after the second visit it made me realise that the night before was definitely an off night for the staff who were...

Pretty disappointing. We ordered three pizzas and caesar salad. Let’s start with the salad- the dressing was basic but tasty (probably the only reason i’m giving 2 stars), the croutons were huuuge and the chicken breast was like 2 inches. I don’t know if this was suppose to be an illusion, since the croutons looked like chicken. The pizza was very disappointing. The cornicione was ok but the middle of the pizza was horrible- it was so thin and every topping was falling of. How is that the croutons are bigger than my head but the pizza is thinner than my nail? Diavolo pizza was ok but very greasy. Radler was tasty. Staff was friendly. Sadly not the experience i would ever want to experience again....

Great experience - and we’ll surely return soon! A really nice, authentic and original italian restaurant in the center of Gardola, Tignale. Although busy because of the popularity (and you can’t pre-book tables), we quickly got a table and waiters around us for servicing. Both pizzas and pastas are surely tasty - and we also enjoyed freshly served salats and grilled vegatables for sharing. Price level are low despite the top quality.
