My husband and his family have been coming to Vannelli's for over ten years and it is truly the thing they look forward to the most whenever they're in Italy. When I joined the family, I immediately understood why! They serve some of the best coffee and pastries I've ever had and easily beat out their competition in the Tuscan region.
What's even more impressive is that the Vannelli family is always so generous and kind. It only takes a few visits before they consider you a regular, a part of the family.
Naturally, when we decided to get married in the area, we had to get our wedding cake from them. We went with a single layer (gluten free!) orange almond cake which was truly divine. I couldn't get enough of it and even tried to break into the kitchen at the end of the night to get another piece!

Superb coffee, wonderful cakes/pastries (I say that as someone who isn't a big cake fan) and the mini sandwiches are delicious too. Cannot recommend highly enough. Don't do what we did though, accidentally walk into the office opposite with a Vannelli sign on it, part of the Vannelli empire yes, but in fact the HQ and we bust in on a company meeting. Ooops!
