Pizzeria San Lazzaro — Restaurant in Cortona

I reserved a table for 14 people, but only tables for 12 were prepared. We had to grab an extra table ourselves to accommodate everyone. Then, the staff confronted us about taking the table. After that, we were completely ignored for 45 minutes, with no one coming to take our order. We had to go inside and speak to the staff; otherwise, they would have left us sitting there even longer.

We ordered bottled water, 2 beers, 2 Aperols, and a bottle of wine. Everything except the water was forgotten. We had to approach the staff again to remind them about our drinks, and we had to ask twice for the beer. Eventually, we were told that they were out of Corona beer. Instead of informing us and asking for an alternative, they simply didn't bring the beer at all. We consistently ordered sparkling water, but at some point, they just put still water on the table without saying anything.

After 2 hours, 12 out of 14 people received their pizzas. The 12 of us finished eating within 20 minutes, but the last 2 still hadn't gotten their pizzas. Our reservation was at 8 PM; the staff came to us at 8:45 PM only after we asked. The first 12 pizzas arrived at 10 PM, and the last two came at 10:35 PM.

This experience was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. The level of service was abysmal, and I am extremely angry about how poorly we were treated.

Ho prenotato un tavolo per 14 persone, ma erano preparati solo tavoli per 12. Abbiamo dovuto prendere un tavolo extra da soli per accomodare tutti. Poi, il personale ci ha confrontato per aver preso il tavolo. Dopo di ciò, siamo stati completamente ignorati per 45 minuti, nessuno è venuto a prendere l'ordine. Abbiamo dovuto entrare e parlare con il personale; altrimenti, ci avrebbero lasciato seduti lì ancora più a lungo.

Abbiamo ordinato bottiglie d'acqua, 2 birre, 2 Aperol e una bottiglia di vino. Tutto è stato dimenticato tranne l'acqua. Abbiamo dovuto avvicinarci di nuovo al personale per ricordargli delle nostre bevande, e abbiamo dovuto chiedere due volte per la birra. Alla fine, ci è stato detto che erano finiti i Corona. Invece di informarci e chiedere un'alternativa, semplicemente non hanno portato la birra. Abbiamo ordinato sempre acqua frizzante, ma a un certo punto hanno semplicemente messo acqua naturale sul tavolo senza dire nulla.

Dopo 2 ore, 12 delle 14 persone hanno ricevuto le loro pizze. Noi 12 abbiamo finito di mangiare entro 20 minuti, ma gli ultimi 2 non avevano ancora ricevuto le loro pizze. La nostra prenotazione era alle 20; il personale è venuto da noi alle 20:45 solo dopo che abbiamo chiesto. Le prime 12 pizze sono arrivate alle 22, e le ultime due alle 22:35.

Questa esperienza è stata incredibilmente frustrante e inaccettabile. Il livello del servizio era pessimo e sono estremamente arrabbiato per come siamo...

The service is terrible! We ordered a table for fourteen people, and got a table for twelve, that was the first hiccup. We had to wait for about an hour just to order. The drinks, took about 45 mins to arrive, but half of the order was forgotten, we ordered two corona beers, they didn’t have any left, instead of the beers we got nothing. The aperol spritz tasted like water The first pizzas arrived about 1.5 Hours. Sadly the wait was not worth the while as the pizzas were just warm and not that tasty. The last two pizzas arrived after everyone else have eaten up. The staff is pretty disorganized, only one waiter who speaks English, tables left full of trash. The experience was quiet the adventure, as kids running around the tables skreaning. Wouldn’t rekomend coming here espeachaly as...

Premessa: Pizza molto buona, il cameriere che ci ha servito è stato gentile e simpatico e ci ha consigliato di ordinare un antipasto perché l’attesa sarebbe stata un po’ lunga . Dopo circa un’ora e mezza di attesa, di cui non ci siamo assolutamente lamentati, la pizza è arrivata.

Finita la pizza abbiamo ordinato 1 caffè. Dopo oltre 10 minuti di attesa abbiamo chiesto scherzosamente al ragazzo (che presumiamo fosse il titolare) se il caffè venisse da lontano, senza nessun tipo di tono accusatorio, semplicemente era una battuta per avere aggiornamenti sulla tempistica del caffè. (In quel momento lui era in sala a mettere a impilare le cassette vuote degli impasti) L’abbiamo sentito poi che urlava al personale che noi pretendevamo un caffè facendo i supponenti. Si è poi ripresentato ed ha iniziato da qui un monologo ad alta voce (durato parecchi minuti) in cui ci accusava di essere strafottenti e senza rispetto nei loro confronti, perché in cucina erano solo in 3 e già avevano fatto i miracoli. Al che abbiamo tentato di fargli capire che era una battuta scherzosa che avevamo fatto ma lui ha continuato imperterrito a sbraitare da solo. A questa sceneggiata abbiamo deciso di alzarci e pagare il conto per andarcene, con il cameriere che cercava di tranquillizzarlo.

Se non si è in grado di gestire tutti questi tavoli (comprese le pizze d’asporto) forse bisognerebbe prenderne meno e fare un buon servizio.

Inizialmente avremmo consigliato volentieri il locale perché la pizza è molto buona, ma a seguito dell’accaduto, che ci ha lasciati basiti e senza parole, l’unico desiderio che avevamo era quello di andarcene al più presto.

Comprendiamo che il lavoro a volte può essere pesante ed è difficile il rapporto con la clientela, ma questo non giustifica l’essere...
