Ristorante Al Portico — Restaurant in Desenzano del Garda

Total waste of money. The arogance of the waiter and disgusting overpriced food has ruined our day.

This is a real and honnest rating.

Waiting for gnochi and spageti and rizoto fo about 25 minutes, while the lady from kitchen smoked under non-smoking sign. Then a overspiced food arrived - seemed like just defrosted microwave food from a supermarket and tasted even worst. Rice for the risotto wasn't sticky at all. Spageti just in oil and pepper with clams missing any sauce. Cold (propadly defrosted) gnochi in overspiced sauce that felt really as the cheapest thing from a tube.

Finnally the bill was 48euros with 2euro "couvert" for each of us counting also our 2years old babygirl. When paying and noting the low quality of food, the waiter got angry and changed the bill to 58euros.

Whille I gave him 50euro note, he still owes me 2euro then.

Don't let your day be ruined by this "restaurant".

Pessimo. Sabato sera era l'unico disponibile ed io e un' altra persona( anche se lette non delle ottime recensioni) decidiamo d 'andare. Una buona accoglienza dalla titolare napoletana che ci racconta tutto brevemente della sua vita ,che suo marito sta in cucina e sua figlia la cuoca. Fin qua tutto bene. Ordiniamo del pesce,scampi ,rana pescatrice e filetto... bei piatti ben fatti. Paghiamo più di 200€ con una bottiglia di vino. Troppo. Arriviamo in albergo con lo stomaco sotto sopra,ma pensavamo la stanchezza. Ci svegliamo tutta mattina stomaco" rovesciato" e abbiamo vomitato tutto tutto cio che abbiamo mangiato li la sera. ve lo sconsigliamo. Siamo stati male e pagato tantissimo...non andateci. (Le rispondo qui Invece di raccontare bugie bisogna accettare recensioni positive o negative per migliorarsi. Le foto sono dei piatti non del locale. Ed io e mio padre che festeggiavamo il suo compleanno ben 79. Di sicuro eravamo lì per mangiare e non far lo show chiamando lo chef. Siamo veneti non meridionali. Se siamo stati male ringrazi non siamo andati all ospedale,dopo aver vomitato tutta,mattina. ci siamo sentiti meglio e alle 15.00 signora mia dovevo andare a lavorare volente o nolente. Il locale era vuoto e si risponda il perché. Non serve risponda il tempo che spreca qui impari a cucinare il pesce va....

My family spent a week in Italy (Florence and at Lake Garda/Desenzano) and our first dinner at Al Portico was so fantastic and the experience at this family owned restaurant so delightful that we had to go back. The second meal was even better as we felt like we were having a Sunday family dinner in Naples! They were also incredibly helpful around our gluten sensitivity issues as well.
