ROADHOUSE RESTAURANT DESENZANO — Restaurant in Desenzano del Garda

Absolutely worst experience. I think they started of nicely, and found some pencils and paper to entertain the kids, but from here it went down hill. Kids menues were fine, simple burger and fries, nothing spectacular, but good. My wife and I ordered a bucket of ribs for sharing (5 pcs for 8,9 euro). They served a big bucket with 5 end pieces of ribs all smaller than my little finger… asked if this was normal size, and then waitress dissappered and came back 5 minutes later with a new bucket, no explanation or anything, just placed it on the table like we were the idiots for asking. The new ribs where bigger in size and taste was also fine.

Wife ordered a Thai wok with beef. I am not sure what it was, but hat absolutely nothing to do with Asian style and the beef were cooked so much it was completely unbeatable.

I ordered a ribeye stake, medium. Came in on a hot plate but was raw. Asked if they could cook it some more, which they agreed on. Came with a new stake that was even more rare, and when I said this was also rare, the waitress tried to convince me this was medium. An absolute joke.

They offered again to correct the mistake, but at this point all others had finished their meal, as it took 15-20 minutes to re-cook, so I said forget it and asked for the bill. No one responded and they left with the stake. 10 minutes later we asked again for the bill, and was now directed to the front cashier.

They didn’t not charge for the stake, but none the less, this was an absolute waste of...

We had dinner here while on a short vacation camping in Lake Garda this summer. My partner and I were out with our four dogs (small dogs). We were looking for a place to eat with outdoor sitting area, because usually dogs are not allowed indoors. This restaurant allowed us to eat inside with our pets, brought two water bowls for them and had no issue with us choosing the table - corner table to avoid too much excitement for the floofs. We ordered the small burgers, some veggies and potatoes. The small burgers were perfect as we like simple burgers, the grilled veggies were a bit sad (don't recommend) and the potatoes were standard issue. We also got a big pitcher of cola. This last bit was very welcome as it was very hot. All in all: happy with the food, happy with the drinks, happy with the service, very happy with the dog...

I have eaten in the Desenzano restaurant in some occasions. Mostly I use the one in the Leone Centro which I would give 5 stars for all services. This evening I decided to stop at the one in Desenzano and was appalled by the service my mother and I took the ribs which on Sunday is eat all you can once we had finished they came and took the plates away and didn't offer anymore than the first round I don't normally eat more than the first but have always been offered if I would like more. The staff were not as friendly and in my opinion. I will most definitely only use the one in Leone Centro and will not ever enter the one in Desenzano. It was just not a good experience having been used to how friendly the other one not so...
