Cavedano Lounge Bar — Restaurant in Dongo

As a family of four we visited Cavedano for a light dinner. We had a reservation but when we arrived there was not a table as we expected (on the lake side). But the team found as a table and very soon we were set. There was a wide selection of cocktails and a small selection of dishes but all of them were very well prepared. The food arrived late but the team apologized. I would expect a small treat for the longer expectancy, but it is a relatively new business so it could be ok. I give five stars for the quality of the dishes, the politeness of the staff, the location and the potential...

We stumbled on this place on our drive to Varenna. Highly recommend. Lovely patio facing the water, wonderful staff, and one of the freshest and tastiest meals we had in Northern Italy - perfect pillows of pumpkin ravioli in sage and butter, a Caesar salad with crispy, tender chicken and homemade croutons with shaved Parmesan, and hand squeezed lemonade. A very refreshing meal after lots of hit or miss eating on our trip, as folks who appreciate delicious and thoughtful food with quality...
