Grillage — Restaurant in Eisacktal - Valle Isarco

Short: Good, mainly meaty food, very friendly service, nice outside area

Long: Right in the centre of Brixen, a decent choice of mostly meaty dishes (it's called grillage...) and a very friendly service. Been there on reservation with a bigger group including children and we got served fast and the waiters even helped to calm or entertain the children. The ambience is nice, rather noble and there's a beautiful outside area on an old town street just up front. Pricing is not cheap, and there's not exactly a plethora of choices, but the quality is good and everything seems very clean. Try the nice local beers! As far as I've seen there's no parking space right up front (it's in the narrow alleys...

Unfortunately the worst dining experience I ever had in Southtyrol. The food was tasteless. I had a soup which was mostly water, to me it appeared diluted a few times too often. Even worse than the food was the attitude of the staff. They were super pushy on trying to sell more. As an elderly person at our table asked to repeat a question because at first she could not hear because of the noise level in the restaurant the service lady rolled her eyes at her. At the end we were even asked to leave which was absolutely ridiculous as there were a few free tables and it would have been easy to set them. Zero hospitality not to say complete...

Abbiamo cenato in quattro la sera del 16/12 ordinando due canederli in brodo di manzo e due insalate di stagione con manzo alla griglia e vino sfuso Cabernet della casa non presente sul menu. Velocissimi nella preparazione del tavolo e nel prendere l’ordine ma disorganizzati nel servizio. Ci hanno portato le pietanze ancora prima di averci portato il vino, che abbiamo sollecitato, e il pane che abbiamo dovuto chiedere. Aggiunto tre dolci, un deca (arrivato un caffè normale) e una grappa.. Che dire.. l’insalata mista con verdure di stagione era composta di sole foglie di insalata con due pomodorini per decorare il piatto, il brodo di manzo era il cosiddetto brodo di dado, gli strudel decisamente nella norma e il vino sfuso proclamato di eccellente qualità dal presunto titolare nel momento in cui, dopo avere pagato il conto, sono ritornata all’interno del ristorante per chiedere spiegazioni su ciò che ho trovato conteggiato nello scontrino…. 2 x 0,50 di vino sfusi € 15/cadauno…. La cameriera a cui avevamo pagato il conto, gentile ma imbarazzata, non ha saputo darmi spiegazioni e ha dovuto chiedere confermando che lo sfuso costava € 15 x mezzo litro… ma noi abbiamo ordinato 1 litro una sola volta. Magari nella disorganizzazione avendo sollecitato il vino l”hanno segnato due volte??? L’errore ci può stare ma nel momento in cui replico che 30€ per un litro di vino della casa mi sembrano eccessivi mi sento rispondere dal presunto proprietario che il loro vino della casa è di eccellente qualità…. Buono a sapersi ho risposto…. Arrogante e maleducato segnalo sul listino prezzi, a saperlo ordinavamo un Amarone a € 47 presente sulla carta dei vini e ricordati che i clienti non sono sempre...
