FronteMare Rooftop Savelletri — Restaurant in Fasano

We started to Osteria del Porte, only to find that they had no table available since we didn'thave a reservation. So our visit here was accidental.

Street parking is available for €2 per hour, and there appears to be plenty of it.

At the Fronte Mare, all tables were full, but they found a place for us on the roof. The seabreeze was a bit on the cool side, but the view was outstanding.

Our server came within 10 minutes, took our order at 14:08 and delivered some of the food at 14:40 and the remaining at 14:50.

As all European restaurants, dining is a hassle. Reservations are expected, even for tourists, and even for lunch.

The food was warm, the presentation was nice, but the meal was less than stellar.

We simply did not like the taste of anything. Might be a personal preference, but did not enjoy the food at all. Took a few bites and...

Da tempo mi avevano consigliato di provare il Ristorante FronteMare a Savelletri, nella marina del comune di Fasano (BR). Approfittando di un sabato soleggiato di giugno, ho fatto una passeggiata in zona. Da quelle parti ristoranti proprio non ne mancano, ma attenti a farsi distrarre da troppi colori, “addobbi” o prezzi magari allettanti. E’ bene ricordare che se si vuole mangiare ottimo cibo in ambiente di qualità, bisogna spendere (almeno) il giusto. Da qui voglio cominciare il mio commento: “ si spende davvero il giusto considerando la qualità, la varietà, il servizio e l’impagabile vista sul porto che il ristorante offre”. Non un posto qualunque, ma un locale dove passare del tempo serenamente, gustando le specialità proposte dalla elegante e discreta titolare Tiziana che, coadiuvata dal sorridente Gennaro, accoglie i suoi clienti e coordina la accogliente struttura. La definisco struttura perché dispone di 3 zone ben distinte ma ugualmente accoglienti, ordinatissime e con vista sul porto. Si può scegliere tra una zona ampia a livello strada, che ti fa pranzare nell’ area portuale del borgo pur conservando la giusta privacy assicurata da fioriere e recinzioni che isolano dal lungomare. Una seconda, posta in posizione rialzata, all’interno ma con vista sul mare e arredata davvero con eleganza e accurata raffinatezza, per finire ad una terza posta in cima, su due splendide terrazze che offrono ancor più un panorama mozzafiato e che danno la sensazione di essere davvero in un ambiente “unico”. Un pensierino per festeggiare in terrazza una prossima ricorrenza è stato già fatto… Il menù, chiaro, preciso, completo, con piatti semplici ma anche ricercati, sempre gustosi e con ingredienti e prodotti di prima qualità e sempre freschi. Da FronteMare si assaporano prodotti di mare e di terra, sempre accompagnati dal giusto vino consigliato dalla competente Tiziana. Si tornerà appena possibile (speriamo “liberi” da tutte le precauzioni dovute al Covid19 comunque ben osservate da FronteMare), per gustare ulteriori piatti e passare un’ altra giornata nel segno del gusto, con eleganza e...

I had a truly memorable experience at Restaurant Fronte Mare in Savelletri. I had the privilege of tasting their fresh seafood dishes, which exceeded my culinary expectations by far. Each dish was an explosion of authentic flavors and freshness. I must also mention the spectacular view towards the port, which added an extra charm to the entire experience.
