La Marea ristorante Savelletri — Restaurant in Fasano

Delightful little family run restaurant that offers excellent fresh fish dishes. If you are a meat lover go elsewhere as there is none on the menu, however if you like imaginative and well prepared sea food plates give La Marea a try and you won't be disappointed. I visited twice in the last week and I was not disappointed by either the food , the service or the good wine list. The owner Santo may lack for some a touch of " service skills " but it even his rather " assertive" approach add to the charme of this place. He is a "big guy " after all and who wants to argue with him when he forces on you , wheter you want it or not , the most delicious " fried prawns...

I can only highly recommend La Marea restaurant. The whole experience was perfect. We started with the raw: a white fish carpaccio, tuna tartare, pulp salad and raw langoustines. Everything was super fresh and extremely delicious. After we continued with Spaghettoni con vongole and another one with shrimps, it was to die for! For dessert, we took a lemon ginger mint sorbet and black rider, it tasted like heaven, especially the sorbet for me, just divine! Everything is homemade. Tanto fumo, bella location personale fintamente educato, e pochissimo carissimo arrosto. Ordiniamo un spaghetto ai frutti di mare. Arriva una porzione degna delle migliori diete fantozziane che loro defiscono "al dente" ma in realtà è semplicemente crudo. Chiedo di rifare il piatto e mi torna 3 minuti dopo: chiaramente lo hanno finito di cuocere in padella rendendolo però ancor più scialbo e mediocre. Il condimento latita con n.2 vongole, 1 cozza e poco altro in gita dal surgelatore. In compenso il prezzo potrebbe finanziare un programma alimentare in Africa Forse pensano di essere in costa azzurra e non nella periferia di savvelletri. Il fritto di mare invece era ben fatto ma comunque dal prezzo esorbitante rispetto a cosa veniva offerto. Non vorrei sembrare troppo esigente, ma per 22€ proverei ad aggiungere qualcosa a calamari e gamberi. Chissà, magari un merluzzetto, sperando non vadano falliti. 6€ per un 2 dita di prosecco a buon mercato e la netta sensazione di essere snobbati solo perché abbiamo speso 80 euro per 2 primi e una frittura.
