Having seeing all the recent reviews, we divided to check the place out. Asked for a menu and they said they don’t have one, we ended up talking to the waiter and deciding to go here with the idea of great food which was described as fish and pasta. Still no prices (we thought how much can it be compared to the restaurant before) We sat and ordered a lovely wine (kike) from Marsala being told it was €20 which for me as a wine drinker was a pretty good price for a local wine. We ended up ordering the squid ink pasta that had what was described as calamar 🦑 in it. ( it tasted great but not much squid in this dish) the other we had was the fish soup… described and soup with different kinds of fish and pasta… there was little to no fish and tasted like tomato soup. (Don’t get me wrong it was still good but expensive for what it was) now the waiter was fantastic and came with bruschetta to start us on the house and a lovely dessert with some sweet wine something small to share. To be honest I was thinking hard about this review because the waiter was great the food was good and the wine very good. The biggest let down was a fight that broke out nearing the end of our dinner (the chef and some guy from outside started screaming at each other, a child crying a mother screaming at the chef) it was a lot to witness while trying to have a quiet dinner on a seemingly peaceful island. Never in my life or travelling have I ever witnessed something like this happen in a restaurant.. or any establishment to be honest. Everything was strange after this and when we got the bill we were shocked at the price for the food and differently in the price of the wine but honestly just wanted to get out of there after it all. Pasta dish (18€) “fish” soup (18€) wine (25€). For this and everything that happened is why the review Is much lower than I Originally thought...
Torneremo...
Read moreVery likely the worst place I‘ve eaten in many years. Unedable pasta dish, arrogant service, and with 20 € totally overpriced even if the food had been great. I seriously cannot understand how this place gets such a high ranking, because from what I‘ve experienced, it‘s hard to imagine that this was a...
