Il Veliero — Restaurant in Favignana

This issue the worst of the worst. The order take so long , the price is to high, the quality horrible, the attitude of the waiter is bad. Here is my experience in this diner: We arrived when there are still lots of guests waiting in the line, after a while we had our table . Everything was normal, we ordered i ordered the mussel soup then after more than 30 mins later the waitress got to our table and said sorry we ran out of mussel can you change then i ordered the prawns instead cause i asked another dishes they said they finished, and she didn’t tell me the price even when i asked, then they bring the food out i got a plate of 5 little prawns (which cost 30 euro), and surprisingly they not well cooked still raw inside, then they gave me a plate to eat but the plate was not clean, and after i asked to change the DIRTY plate they bring me a stack of plates and said choose a fucking plate . Then the waiter mocked me and being VERY rude. A terrible experience...

Non so se vi è capitato di organizzare un viaggio al solo fine di ritornare nello stesso ristorante per poter rivivere e ripetere la stessa straordinaria esperienza gastronomica, anno dopo anno. Ebbene, è quello che NON capiterà MAI più a me che senz' altro tornerò a Marettimo ma mi guarderò ben bene dal rientrare in questo covo di gente maleducata. Il cibo è discreto e nulla più se confrontato alla Sicilia "continentale" con i prezzi ovviamente ritoccati verso l'alto data la rendita di posizione. Ciò che è inaccettabile è il livello di stress del personale che viene riversato sul cliente senza filtri. In particolare ho avuto enormi difficoltà nel farmi consigliare il vino giusto. Evidentemente non essendoci nessuno nel ristorante che comprendesse la mia richiesta di un vino bianco sapido e di alta gradazione sono andati tutti in crisi e più insistevo nella mia richiesta di poter anche solo visionare il frigo per poter scegliere la bottiglia in autonomia più aumentava il livello di insofferenza attorno a me. Scusate se poi non riesco a godere della cena (comunque normale e nulla più) dopo che mi avete fatto girare le p...e a mo' di pale di elicottero. Verso la fine della cena arriva al tavolo una bella porzione di pesce in contenitore di plastica, evidentemente avanzata da qualche altro tavolo. La risposta ricevuta alla mia cortese comunicazione che non fosse del nostro tavolo è stata "Miii, in cucina mi hanno detto tavolo seeette". Così. Senza uno scusi o un grazie. Poi si va a pagare e ci si trova battuto un piatto in più e di nuovo nessuna scusa per l'accaduto, parlottano un po' tra loro e morta lì. Ma insomma, se mi sbagliassi io nel chiedere più soldi del dovuto e mi venisse evidenziato mi scuserei eccome per l'accaduto con il cliente, magari offrirei che ne so un limoncello con un sorriso 32 denti. Ma questo capita se si è in buona fede, forse invece al Veliero è considerata una scocciatura che il cliente si accorga che gli è stato aggiunto nel conto un piatto in più e quindi si può continuare ad essere scortesi come se nulla fosse. In conclusione si consideri che Marettimo dispone di soli 6/7 ristoranti quasi sempre già tutti prenotati e quindi non è semplice trovare posto per cenare se non ci si muove in anticipo. Ecco da qui spiegata la ragione per la quale un ristorante con un personale di sala così ostile possa permettersi di tirare avanti...

I forgot to make this review when we were there ( 10 days ago) but can honestly say the food was good, and the service was good too.

We went there for the zuppa di aragosta( lobster soup) as recommended by a friend however she forgot to let us know that upon booking you also need to tell them you want the soup, as it needs hours of preparation. When we arrived we were told of this so we booked for the day after right away! The first day the POS was not working so we paid cash and the service and food was impeccable, the second day the restaurant was incredibly busy so the service lagged a little but the soup was worth EVERYTHING.
