Osteria del Sotto Sale — Restaurant in Favignana

Terrible! We set for have dinner here, we ordered 2 Spaghetti Vongole and 1 Spaghetti allo Scolgio and one tuna steak which was one of the specials of the day. My pasta which was meant to be with mixed seafood (Spaghetti allo Scoglio) was served to me. Coming from an island ourselves, we know what fresh seafood really is and we instantly noticed that it was cooked with frozen seafood and tasted as blend as water. When I called who I think was the manager, in Italian, I advised that this was frozen fish and wanted to add that it is tasteless, however she finished my sentence which was rather shocking. She offered to bring something else, but seeing that the other 2 pasta vongole we had tasted quite bad and smelled even worse, I refused. Out of 4 dishes, we sent back 1, and left almost untouched 2 other pasta dishes. This is the perfect Tourist Trap. For almost a year I was excited to travel half way across the world to try this place on my holiday. Out of all the restaurants to choose here you would imagine you would be treated as a valued customer but I felt like a number. My waitress walked away from me half way through when I was ordering. I was shocked at the rudeness. I felt like I did something wrong. My suggestion, hire staff who are truly passionate about food, people, culture and dining. I felt like an annoyance. The lovely manager tried to help the situation but I felt completely uncomfortable here because after I asked what happened the waitresses were cold, only the manager would talk to me.
