Il Maccheroncino — Restaurant in Florence

This is a very nice small fish restaurant situated a bit outside of the Firenze city center. It is however easy to reach with the great tram service T1, towards hospital Careggi. The restaurant is family driven and it has a short but really good menu, available on the blackboards on the walls in the restaurant. It is highly recommended to book in advance since the seating in the restaurant is very limited. The menu is in Italian but with google this can be resolved easily. I had my favorite dish, spaghetti allo scoglio, served with a good wine and it was really great combination. Since the kitchen is somewhat limited in size it was not possible to choose more than 3 different hot dishes to be given at at the same time. In a bigger group some negotiations might therefore be needed if everyone should get the food at the same time. As dessert I had a chocolate cake with a grappa, a nice combination recommended by the nice owner, which was very much appreciated.
