We really lucked out with having an Airbnb just next door to this bakery. Everything we got here was DELICIOUS!
First day we went in, the lady actually handed us each a piece of fresh Schiacciata(local bread in Florence) to try!
Next day we saw they also had a dark brown version (maybe whole wheat?) of this bread and got some to try. Quite tasty.
All the bread was soft and fresh and delicious!
Salads were also fresh! Very heavy on the olives (which I removed coz I wasn't a fan) but lovely!! Tomatoes were also fresh. I tried the chicken one and also another one which had something that looked like patties.
Spicy salami (freshly sliced) was nice too. As was the sun dried...
Read moreI never leave reviews but this deserved one. This place was right next to my hostel (Yellowsquare) and I bought a sandwich for my flight back to London on Tuesday. I was seemingly the only non-Italian/person under 60 in there (often a good sign), but was able to order with ease despite my lack of basic Italian. A few hours later whilst midflight I unwrapped it and tucked in - I eat a lot of sandwiches but this is a strong contender to the best I've ever eaten (tied only with a hidden away deli in a Manhattan corner shop). When I first saw the size of it, I thought wow that’s big I will never finish it - little did I know. I finished it and wanted to walk back & get another! 😂 Prosciutto, Stracciatella Cheese, Sundried tomatoes & some greens - the most perfect sandwich. The bread is crispy and light drizzled with olive oil, the ingredients are so fresh and the staff so warm and welcoming! Highly highly recommend! Do not leave Florence...
