La Porta Verde - Pizzeria Spaghetteria — Restaurant in Florence

After a long day sightseeing, found this restaurant near to our Hotel on Google maps. Sunday evening and we hadn't booked. Very busy with local families but we were welcomed in and shown to a well sheltered outside seating area. Very quick service, food excellent 👌 I know its been said in earlier reviews but honestly the Spaghetti alla Carrettiera, spicey and the Spaghetti alla sorrentina, packed with melted mozzarella were just the best. We went here on a weekday and we were told that we would only be served if we had a reservation or we can come at 10 pm. We went back at 10 pm for dessert and they did not serve us a tiramisu for an hour. I don't understand if they don't like tourists or POC, but I was quite shocked to have not been served dessert for an hour! We reminded the friendly servers but we just weren't getting served....

We live in the neighborhood and come here all the time. It’s one of my most favorite places in Florence. It has a pub-like, family feel. Everyone is friendly and the food is consistently delicious.
