Ristorante La Ruota — Restaurant in Forio

Nice restaurant with a modern feel, looks like they've had a makeover if you look on Google Maps. Everything is neutral colours and fresh. Nice seating area outside directly overlooking the beach. Several regulars in, always a good sign. We had a mountain of food including bruschetta, a pasta course plus a second meat course. Too much really! Everything was freshly made and tasted great. We also managed to find a sweet wine that my wife enjoyed, which we have not found anywhere else. Total bill was €45 which was bonkers...

Loved it! From the moment you park your car/scooter or arrive to the area where La Ruota is located, it feels like a different and more authentic place on the island, full of locals enjoying the last rays of sun, families and older people chatting casually on the street. The food - fantastic! We had to have another portion of the fried anchovies (alici) - they were divine! Generous portions full of flavor and taste, overall, this place is underrated and deserves the best review. Great service too - always ready with a smile...

Their food is absolutely delicious!! Usually, restaurants located either ‘central’ or ‘beachfront’ are overrated and not to mention overpriced. But here, it’s the exact opposite of that! We had a lovely view of the sunset from the Chiaia beach while having our tasty dinner.

Quality and quantity match the fair prices. Staff are also friendly and welcoming. I have no complaints :)
