Ristorante Pizzeria la Bella Napoli al Porto — Restaurant in Forio

The food was pretty good, the service was terrible. When we arrived, we asked for a table inside, the waiter told us that it would be possible, but that there would be other guests who reserved that table for later that night; in one and a half hour. So we sat down and ordered. An hour later, we already finished eating and payed the bill, but were still drinking wine, the so said guests arrived. The waiter told us they were there, but we should take our time to finish drinking, so we decided to do just that. Five minutes later the waitress told us to leave. So we had to drink a whole glass of wine on ex, that was twentyfive minutes before the time they told us in the beginning. While walking out, we told them that this behaviour is not okay for us, the waiter tried to "explain" that the other guests arrived too early and that they were sorry. As we also speak italian, we overheard that the guests booked for 9 pm, one hour after we arrived. As we said that the sorry does not help in any way now and that we will not come back, the server even had the nerve to tell us that "it would be fine, because this is a democracy and we can decide wether or not we would want to come back". If i could have, i would have demanded the tip back. Over all, the attitude of the servants was terribly respectless. Even if the food was good, the atmosphere was not welcoming at all, service was horrible, we will never go again. There are many other restaurants in Forio with good food AND...

Utter disappointment. Was so excited to try this, but sadly it was an awful experience. It was very windy so I asked for a table inside, but the waiter said they didn’t have any and sat me outside. A few minutes later two men asked his colleague for a table inside and she brought them across the small plaza to the connected restaurant immediately. I then ordered a pasta dish - the waiter couldn’t have been any more unbothered and any less engaging when taking my order. I was going to ask for a recommendation, but couldn’t be bothered with his attitude. It was then a struggle eating this with my long hair flying everywhere and the table cloth being more on the table then hanging down the sides. The dish was okay, but really nothing special. I’ve had way better. As I took my last bite another waiter then took the plate and bread whilst I was still chewing. He didn’t even ask how I liked the food. What the hell? I just wanted to pay and leave! Note: It wasn’t particular busy as if they had to move people on. It also wasn’t closing time yet, so neither of these were a factor! I would not recommend going if you are a solo female traveller. They don’t seem to appreciate that whatsoever, and just makes you feel like you’ve wasted money...

The service was appalling! After being recommended by a friend who lives locally we had saved this as a treat. The Neptune bruschetta was so salty I couldn't finish it and it ruined anything else I ate. The house salad was dreadful - tinned tuna and bland tomatoes I don't expect from this region with more stale bread than any other ingredient. The mussels starter was nice, the squid main was nice, but after telling the waiter more than four or five times that we hadn't finished eating we then needed to wait the best part of half an hour for the plates to be taken once we had finished. ....we are still waiting on the bill ... overpriced and there are several alternative restaurants who offer much better value. If you are more conscious of style over substance then please do visit otherwise I'd suggest halving your bill and doubling your enjoyment by...
