La tana del lupo — Restaurant in Framura

Not a great first experience arriving in Italy.. I stayed in Framura and being a very small village, there weren’t many options for dinner past 6.30-7pm! I came across this place and was told the pizza was good by the owner of my hostel. I asked to see the menu first, and if I could sit outside on the terrace where everyone else was sitting, but I was told it was all full and I have to sit inside.. However the terrace was in fact only HALF full, to my surprise; they weren’t telling the truth. They also told me I could sit on a park bench with a takeaway pizza if I wanted.. So I chose to just sit inside. They judged me and treated me as though I wasn’t worth a table just for one person. I was shown the table and then the staff completely ignored me, after I had decided what I wanted to order I waited still. I watched as at least 3-4 new patrons arrived and were all seated outside after me. After waiting patiently I just decided I would take the pizza away and sit outside at my hostel instead. I asked for a takeaway pizza and was told I would have to wait longer, which was fine! The pizza was very delicious however they didn’t cut the pizza into slices (being a takeaway I had no cutlery) - not sure if this is normal or not? Overall tasty pizza but poor service. I wouldn’t recommend going as a solo...

We showed up a bit early (17:30) the restaurant was open, but still preparing. Kitchen was open from 19:00. We were accomodated by the friendly staff with drinks and a nice appetizer, while we enjoyed the lovely view next to the terrace and watched the sunset and chatted with one of the locals.

Good variety of pizzas to choose from, was quite difficult for myself to pick one because many sounded great. Quality of pizza and ingredients were really good, speed of serving also!

While it was surprisingly busy for such small town restaurant, all tables were filled within a few minutes. Good to call in advance to make sure you secure a table. Enoyed...

I understand that the restaurant is full and cant take any orders anymore. But why are you so rude about it? Sorry I dared to call and had the audacity to take 20 seconds of your time...? To be fair the location looked very beautiful and the pizza (from what I saw) seemed tasty. But like I said i have never been treated this rude in a restaurant before. The one star is for the nice man who told us very friendly that they were full and we should try it later, the -4 stars are for the rude person on...
