Disappointing Experience - Avoid this Restaurant!
My recent experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. From the moment my group and I walked in, we were not greeted. There was no interest in us, and we weren't even asked if we wanted something to drink. This lack of hospitality immediately left a negative impression.
It took a whopping 20 minutes before we even had the chance to place our food order. During that time, our requests for service were ignored, and we didn't feel valued as guests. It was particularly frustrating that even when we asked for assistance, we were given strange looks and simply brushed off.
To make matters worse, people who arrived later than us were served before us. They even received their food earlier, while we had been waiting for quite some time. The pinnacle of this unfairness was when three people at our table received their food 5 minutes ahead of the rest of us. By the time the remaining guests received their meals, the others were almost done eating. This lack of organization and unequal treatment was unacceptable.
Regarding the food itself, there were a few highlights amid the disappointment. The warm chocolate cake and pistachio cream were exceptionally delicious. They were the only dishes worth mentioning in this entire ordeal.
Unfortunately, that was it. The rest of the dishes were underwhelming. The tagliatelle with clams was excessively salty, overpowering the overall flavor. On the other hand, the gnocchi with asparagus and shrimp lacked any seasoning whatsoever. It was devoid of salt, making the dish bland and disappointing. The tiramisu had too much cream and too much alcohol, for a tiramisu in Italy not acceptable.
Furthermore, it was highly frustrating that they had run out of limoncello, especially considering it's an Italian restaurant. It appears that they didn't even have their basic inventory of essential ingredients in order.
What added to the frustration was the feeling that, as a young group of Dutch individuals, we were treated poorly. This is unacceptable in my opinion. Regardless of our age or nationality, we should be treated equally as guests.
Overall, I strongly advise against dining at this restaurant. The service was terrible, with a lack of hospitality and unequal treatment. While a few desserts were enjoyable, most of the dishes were disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a place where you'll be treated better and can enjoy a...
Read moreOverall great experience. Perfect if you are traveling during the high season (june-august). It is just far enough to escape the chaos of the Cinque Terre, which is filled with tourists, but close enough to make easy day trips. 10 minute bus/car ride from the train station of Framura and small, not so crowded rock beaches. 2 stations away from Levanto and Bonasola, if you prefer sand beaches. As for the Hotel itself... small but comfortable rooms and very clean. The restaurant offers delicious locally fished seafood, cooked to perfection. Would...
