Buongiorno, Siamo andati a mangiare ieri sera per una festa di compleanno ma, in verità mangiato malissimo e voglio riferirmi solo a quello che ho mangiato io …Soute’ di cozze(piccole e senza sapore) e vongole (lupini piccolissimi) che non sapeva di niente solo acqua e sale presentato in una zuppiera dove le fette di pane messe sotto erano immerse completamente nella acqua salata …poi preso spaghetti alle vongole e bottarga, pessimo pure questo, niente sapore, vongole che sapevano solo di acqua , e qualcuna addirittura aveva un brutto sapore, …la bottarga conosciuta per avere un sapore abbastanza forte pungente per me ,era scadente, si sentiva poco, parliamo di portate semplici che in un posto di mare dovrebbero essere eccellenti, la proprietaria è la stessa del ristorante Dogana Golosa a Caserta (San Leucio ) dove fanno cucina a base di carne qui a Gaeta hanno aperto da circa un anno e pensavo che si mangiasse bene …ma per il menù di pesce devono ancora crescere o mi dispiace dirlo , devono cambiare lo Chef…non ho voluto portare la lamentela alla direzione per evitare discussioni visto che si trattava di un compleanno. A prova di quello che ho mangiato allego foto dello scontrino …e puntualizzo sul fatto che la recensione riguarda solo quello che ho mangiato io.

Abbiamo pranzato all’Antico Vico durante una giornata a Gaeta, e ci è sembrato di fare un viaggio nei sapori autentici della cucina locale. Il ristorante è accogliente e immerso nel centro storico, con un’atmosfera rilassante ideale per un pranzo speciale. Abbiamo iniziato con l’antipasto Legami Terra e Mare, un mix delizioso di prodotti freschi che unisce sapori di mare e di terra in modo creativo e gustoso. Come primo piatto, abbiamo scelto lo Spaghettone alle Vongole: perfettamente al dente, ricco di sapore e con vongole freschissime che raccontano il mare. Per concludere, il Frittomare è stato un vero piacere, leggero e croccante, senza eccesso di olio. Ad accompagnare questo pranzo eccellente, un calice di Falerno del Massico, un vino perfetto per esaltare ogni piatto con le sue note equilibrate e avvolgenti. Servizio attento e cordiale, qualità dei piatti impeccabile e una selezione di vini di livello. Consigliatissimo per chi desidera una pausa pranzo che sappia unire sapori autentici e un’atmosfera unica. Torneremo di sicuro!

Antico Vico è una perla situata nei pressi del porto di Gaeta. Atmosfera romantica e, diciamolo, veramente magica, caratterizzano questo posticino in cui gusto e qualità la fanno da padroni. Per cominciare, abbiamo preso i polipetti alla luciana come antipasto, immancabili come benvenuto a Gaeta. Come primi abbiamo provato i loro mezzi paccheri polpo e crema di patate e le linguine all’astice, semplicemente sublimi. Per secondo abbiamo provato frittura e lingotti di tonno, due piatti che dire eccezionali è poco. Unica pecca, le patate in accompagnamento al tonno: ci è dispiaciuto davvero molto lasciarle, ma purtroppo non ci erano piaciute. Per il resto, non possiamo che dire che la cena è stata meravigliosa: i piatti erano tutti super freschi, ben conditi e bilanciati, vere e proprie sinfonie di sapori. Anche il personale e il rapporto qualità-prezzo valgono assolutamente la pena di tornare qui quando ripasseremo per Gaeta, è stata una cena indimenticabile.

Good food and a great setting. Would definitely recommend! The staff were very patient, friendly and professional. I think they need another waiter because there was only the manager and one waiter who was really running everywhere to serve all the tables, he did a great job to keep the situation under control.

Only one small problem… At the end of our meal there was a water added to our bill by mistake (no big problem) but I heard the manager telling off the waiter…. In my opinion it was just a small mistake, the waiter had done an excellent job all night and in my experience of the service industry you should never tell off staff in front...

Randomly stopped in here for dinner and it was absolutely delicious! By far the best food I’ve had during my trip. We ordered a few dishes to share but the zuppa Antico vico was amazing. The portion was great and the mussels in it were quite literally the best I’ve ever tasted.

The inside was covered in this beautiful mural and the service was fantastic. Our waitress was very kind and friendly, and while she did not know much English she did her best to try to explain things! I would definitely recommend this place if you’re ever on...
