A great discovery !

We found the place on google and decided to have a try, and it was such a great surprise. First impressions were the warm welcome, the excellent products and if you’re from the 90’s, you will absolutely LOVE the music !

We then came back every single day of our 6 day trip to Genoa. It was that amazing.

By the day, we felt the love and the passion that the owners had of their restaurant. That goes from a careful and extensive research of local ingredients which are all from Liguria to their passion for art and music. It was refreshing to see people fulfulling their passion in such a dedicated way.

DISCLAIMER: il posto non merita una sola stella, ma di certo non 4.9 come mostra la media delle recensioni di Google, una stella la metto per influenzare questa media. In breve: abbiamo mangiato bene, ma esageratamente poco per il prezzo. Abbiamo ordinato un crostone con mortadella (12€) da dividere: sono arrivate due fette di pane con una singola fetta di mortadella su ciascuna di esse. Mortadella molto buona, ma per 12€ non esiste che arrivino solo due fette di pane con 20 grammi di mortadella. Dopodichè abbiamo preso una tagliata ciascuno (20€ a testa): sono arrivati circa 200g/220g di carne per piatto, si tratta di circa 85€/kg. Abbiamo dunque chiesto spiegazioni ai proprietari e ci è stato detto che la carne è km0 e arriva da filiere controllate. Se su quest'ultima affermazione non ho modo di ribattere, posso ribattere sulla prima: la proprietaria stessa ci ha detto che impiegano circa 4 ore per arrivare al luogo di produzione per acquistare la carne, questo significa che il prodotto necessariamente viene trasportato per molti km per arrivare ad essere servito sul tavolo (sarebbe più facile e veloce andare in piemonte dove la stessa carne costa molto meno). Concludo dicendo che, pur avendo apprezzato ciò che ho mangiato, si trova comunque carne ugualmente buona se non migliore in tanti altri posti (tra cui i supermercati) e se una singola persona si vuole godere la cena uscendo senza sensazione di fame, deve spendere almeno 70€: prezzi che si trovano in ristoranti stellati di caratura completamente diversa da questo sotto tutti i punti di vista (location, servizio e rapporto qualità prezzo).
