What an absolute joke.

This is the worst pizza I've tried in italy, do not go here its awful!

Try a different restaurant.

Service was terrible, food was awful everything was just bad.

We walked in and asked how long for a table and we were told ten minutes and it was at least 30-45mins. And there's no waiting area so we were expected to stand around whilst the staff angrily pushed past us and just looked annoyed ALL THE TIME.

When we finally got seated we were then told our pizzas would be out within 15 mins, we were waiting 1-2hours which is absolutely ridiculous when all we ordered was a couple of margarita pizzas.

Pizzas tasted like frozen crappy pizzas, everytime i asked the staff a question or for a bottle of water they were extremely rude.

And then to top it off we asked for the bill and were told its coming and were again waiting around, we then asked if we could pay at the front till and proceeded when told we could.

Got to the till the lady refused to take our payment and said we would have to wait at the till for the bill to come, absolutely ridiculous.

Wasted most of my bloody night waiting around, and was disgusted by the staffs behaviour.

My partner and I (from Spain) went to eat at Il Tempio in Gragnano. Despite speaking some Italian and even starting our conversation at the entrance in Italian, we were given the menu in English, which felt odd. Quickly, we noticed that the prices on this English menu were higher than the ones we had seen online.

We asked for the menu in Italian and, unsurprisingly, the prices there were lower. When we pointed this out, the staff became nervous and tried to justify it by saying they were “changing the prices” and had updated only the English version first. They then added that they would “apply the Italian prices to us, but please don’t mention this to anyone.”

This was unacceptable. We immediately left without ordering. Such dishonest practices are a disgrace and seriously harm the reputation of this beautiful area, which depends heavily on tourism. Please, don’t fall into this trap. There are many honest and authentic places in Italy where you can enjoy real hospitality—this is not one of them.

Non è solo una questione di soldi: queste pratiche rovinano l’immagine dell’Italia e creano sfiducia nei turisti, dai quali, tra l’altro, dipende gran parte dell’economia locale.

Vi invitiamo a non essere tolleranti con simili comportamenti e a denunciarli ogni volta che li incontrate. Difendere l’onestà e l’accoglienza è il modo migliore per proteggere il buon nome del vostro territorio e garantire un turismo sano e rispettoso.

Vi invitiamo a riflettere su ciò che ci è successo da Il Tempio a Gragnano. Nonostante avessimo parlato in italiano all’ingresso, ci hanno portato un menù in inglese, con prezzi più alti rispetto a quelli che avevamo visto online. Abbiamo chiesto il menù in italiano e, guarda caso, i prezzi erano più bassi. Quando abbiamo fatto notare la differenza, i camerieri si sono agitati e ci hanno chiesto di non raccontarlo a nessuno, offrendoci i prezzi “per italiani”.

A delightful spot in Gragnano for pizza and panuozza (amazing folded pizza that’s better than calzone). We tried both and loved them!
