Ristorante e Pizzeria La Valle dei Mulini — Restaurant in Gragnano

It takes alot for me to leave a bad review, but when I tried to speak to them about my concerns the made no apologies or accommodations (my wife speaks Italian because she is Italian, so there was nothing lost in communication).

Single worst meal I've ever had in Italy. So sad. I was excited for authentic pasta from the region. What a let down. They should not be allowed to respresent your food or the people if Gragnano!!

Mind you, We were the only couple in the restaurant.

Bread stale!? Croquet were cold in the middle!? Steak was flavored in salt. PASTA WAS NOT COOKED AND HAD HAIR IN IT. Salad was just lettuce. No tomato, no nothing. The lady that served was so unappreciative and uninspired. This was the worst $86 bucks I've ever spent. No, not the worst food I've had in Italy the worst meal I've ever had...

Locale assolutamente da evitare. Non mi dilungo: lentezza estrema,disorganizzazione totale, scarsa professionalità. Andate altrove, Gragnano è piena di locali altamente superiori. Aggiornamento, racconto in maniera più dettagliata la disavventura. Ho prenotato per due,ieri 15 agosto,attraverso il sito the fork. Al nostro arrivo lo abbiamo fatto presente e il cameriere ci ha risposto con un sonoro " non credo!" (Praticamente non erano nemmeno in grado di gestire le prenotazioni su the fork ). Comunque ci hanno fatto accomodare, erano le 21,30. Dopo 10 minuti è arrivato un cameriere impacciato a prendere la comanda, 1 crocchè, una polpetta di melanzane e una mozzarella in carrozza, infine 2 pizze. Dopo 30 minuti è arrivato un altro cameriere ,il primo, dicendo che le pizze stavano arrivando, gli ho fatto presente che avevamo ordinato anche delle fritture come antipasto e di nuovo lui :"non credo!" ( lo abbiamo soprannominato l'uomo che non deve credere mai). Dopo 40 minuti di attesa è ritornato il cameriere più giovane,quello impacciato,dicendo che le fritture erano terminate e che avrebbero potuto servirci solo il crocchè. A malincuore e parecchio seccate abbiamo accettato e dopo altri 10 minuti è arrivato il crocchè tanto decantato: sciapo,zuppo d'olio, condito con pancetta dura e noci vecchie. La ciliegina sulla torta è stata che ci ha portato le pizze insieme al crocchè e per di più le pizze erano sbagliate. (E nel frattempo era passata un'ora, per un locale con al max 50 coperti mi sembra alquanto eccessivo. ) Infastidite da tutta la situazione, andiamo via,pagando solo quello che avevamo realmente e parzialmente consumato, perché il crocchè lo abbiamo solamente assaggiato. Ma la nota più stonata è stata il fatto che il cameriere/nonsoche che non deve credere mai, per tutta il tempo in cui ci siamo lamentate, ha dato la colpa all'altro cameriere (le parole :" io poi lo sto IMPARANDO al ragazzo) e alla cucina,facendo scarica barile in continuazione. Inoltre c'era un tavolo vicino al nostro che stava subendo lo stesso trattamento e un altro tavolo che si stava lamentando per l'attesa. Secondo me non ci si può permettere di abbozzare o improvvisare la ristorazione, servendo a clienti speranzosi mediocritá, soprattutto in posti che abbondano di pizzerie e...

This place saved our lives. It was a national holiday, and there was no open place anywhere in the radius of many kilometres. We were recommended to come here and we loved it! We've had some pasta and their menu set. Everything was delicious, especially the pasta with seafood.
