I have only had pizza in and take away at the Grimod. It sits in a featureless 70/80s building part of Pila but you would never know inside. It's very rustic old wood beams everywhere and matching tables and chairs. It has a side sofa cosy area for an apero and chat with friends. The pizza oven is open and the kitchen in view. Pizzas are simple thin crust and great although I'd like a little more creativity and whole foods approach, I don't like it when the chef chucks all the ingredients like capers in the middle or in one place after all who can eat a mouthful of capers. So a little more attention to creativity and chef detail wouldn't go a miss. Staff at the bar are accommodating and helpful and found us a table whilst very busy afyer a few minutes at the bar waiting. I have an issue with the apero snacks , they have a selection of olives, nuts and bread you can help yourself to with a spoon onto a sideplate. Great idea. However whilst I was there a local lady friendly with the head chef/owner came in a simply started eating olives and aperos from the main bowls. Meaning anybody later in the restaurant shared that ladies hands and saliva. Uhm not ideal. So keep the aperos behind the bar clean and safe and offer them to clients in need on the side plates provided. Why not offer the superb foccacia flat bread with herbs and oil as...

I guess that every restaurant has some way to rip you off. At this one you pay 3€ for a soda/cola can (which I don't mind because I don't drink such unhealthy stuff) But 0.75L of sparkling water for 2€ got me kinda concerned. As if poor chef never heard of SodaStream so he has to buy each individual bottle of sparkling water in Gros Cidac. And he needs us to cover his expenses on gas. Luckily I could refill my bottle with regular water under the table, so we had plenty.
I don't recommend you the pear pizza. The slices are so thin that you don't really taste the pears. mine just tasted like a plain pizza. The other pizzas we had were nice, although I don't remember which.
The reason we chose to eat here was the atmosphere. It's very cosy and you can watch the staff bake the pizza right next to you.
Apart from the high pricing on beverages I...
