First off welcome was friendly, the terrace is pleasant south west facing but with no shade and conflicting music played from an annoying radio station at the restaurant and awful music bellowing opposite from the kindergarden. Staff are friendly and helpful. My rating is low on 2 counts, the menu is limited and my wife ordered a local crepe dish described as crispy and I had dish of the day roast veal. The veal was ok a little dry but served with a medium viscosity gravy, also served with small dry roast potatoes. It worked because of the gravy no other vegetables in sight. The crepe was just a microwaved floppy pancake immersed in a bechemel sauce, very bland, nutrient free very disappointing. Dessert menu sounded promising ordered the tiramisu thinking we couldn't go wrong in Italy. It came in a small glass dish and consisted of a small soft cake smothered in a type cream, not enough cake to even fill the bowl. When I think about the great home cooked tiramisu cooked in a big tray and served in a square showing you the intricacies of the ingredients and chefs expertise, then what we had it is so poor. Finally serving great Italian beer in planet threatening plastic cups aparantly because they cant wash glasses quickly enough on busy days - welcome to dishwasher technology. It's a complete mystery to me as to why the Italian ski resorts are allowing the use of plastic cups on a...

We had a great time having lunch here after a morning of skiing. The service was kind and very quick despite the place being quite crowded. They have a couple vegetarian options and they are also ready for preparing gluten-free food. The coffee and desserts were also very good. The options are mainly from local cuisine from Valle D'Aosta. Recommended of you're spending a ski day in Pila :)

Unpleasant stuff specially 2 girls, limited space inside and you can have table only if you’re ordering food otherwise you will be asked to leave even if you would like to rest with only tea. Additional fee is added (coperto - don’t mind to pay it but it wasn’t worth the service) for In general don’t recommend this restaurant at all. 2 stars for view only
