Yeti • Pila — Restaurant in Gressan

We have been visiting the Yeti for years during ski seasons and it is the people that bring us back to this part of Italy. The food/wine at the Yeti has just got better and better. Katya is very knowledgable about wine and not too intrusive when we are dining but just knows when to chat and recommend dishes. We love this little piece of heaven in Pila. Today I had a perfectly cut and cooked piece of steak with delicious vegetables. My husband had his favourite of (cheesy) polenta with sausage If you are a crème caramel fan like I am… look no further! The Yeti does the best in the northern hemisphere… (only because my Mum is no longer here to serve it at our family dinners) … just perfect and a nod to my Mum! I never really have a dessert (especially after such an enormous piece of beef!) but can’t not at the Yeti! Thank you Katya and the Yeti staff for being so lovely. We look forward to coming...

Really loved this place and went 3 times in 5 days (almost 4 times!). Really kind and attentive wait staff who greeted us each day, nice range of food options available, with some absolutely stunning homemade pasta which will knock you off your skis! We strongly recommend the Taglioni, which combines the best of Aglio Olio and Fettucine into a stunning dish that one of us had twice. Also brilliantly placed to start off or cap a day on the slopes, or to set you up for the (sort of hidden) Chamolé ski lift for those...

We enjoyed a lovely lunch at the top of the cable car in Pila, with a truly fabulous view over the mountains — the perfect setting for a relaxed afternoon . We had a delicious mortadella-filled pasta, the rabbit and the veal valdaostana. We paired it with a crisp local Pinot Gris, which complemented the dish perfectly.
