Myrìcae — Restaurant in Jesolo

We've been offered by our hotel with a 10% discount visit card to try this restaurant. Once arrived, we've been left to wait "while our table will be prepared" even there were so many free tables. However, bit "cold" approach from everyone and we've been asked to stay outside, even if we've asked for a table inside (plenty of inside tables available). My son asked for the WiFi password, as clearly mentioned everywhere about "Free WiFi", but couldn't be provided instantly, the guy actually said "oh, sorry I'll need to ask inside someone..." He hesitated so much to go to ask, so we've used our mobile data, not such a trouble anyway, but if you visibly advertise something, please make it easy to use. Ordered quickly and our pizza came decently fast as well (approximately 15-20 minutes) Pizza, let say, not the best in the area, my Four Seasons with loads of anchois which give a strong "salty" taste all around, even if only one part of the pizza should be with. My son at least, luckily choosed local Myricae pizza, and was decent enough, not the best, but a reasonable good one. Ordered a bottled beer, offered a red beer, and "charged" for Heineken. Nice beer, can't say anything, just different. Once we finished, our waiter mentioned to the ", cashier" guy about our 10% discount, but somehow they forgot to added to the bill. Not a huge discount for our quick meal, but anyway, it's not always about money.

Price wise, well pizzas have pretty much the same price everywhere, so can't argue on that subject, however, be aware about the .... fees wherever you go, you can't avoid them, but can be anywhere between €2 and €6 per person, depends of the restaurant.

From the outside, looks pretty fancy but you may not feel the same once you're inside.

All over, wasn't too bad, just not the best place what you can choose, despite the apparent "etiquette".

Maybe worth to mention that, the night before, about "across the street", we've had some lovely pizza, with great service, amazing people, and the were "gifted us, a small "digestive" for myself and nice lollipop 🍭 for my son, better...

Sono stato qui il mese scorso (prima e ultima volta) dopo essere stato invitato da amici a trascorrere una serata insieme. Il locale è molto bello ed accogliente, di certo non come il personale (e più avanti spiego perché). Io ho ordinato una grigliata mista di pesce (24 euro)…dopo aver iniziato a mangiare la grigliata ad un certo punto ho notato un inquietante presenza sulla rucola che era messa a coreografia del piatto. Era presente li indisturbato un bruco verde, difficile da individuare se non si fosse mosso e che sarebbe finito tranquillamente dentro il mio stomaco. Appena individuato il futuro lepidottero, ho subito chiamato il personale di sala che quasi infastidito ha portato via il piatto senza minimamente chiedere scusa. Mi hanno proposto di rifare il piatto, ma ormai sdegnato dalla situazione ho preferito non accettare. Alla fine dopo non aver ricevuto le scuse da nessuno si è presentato al tavolo, probabilmente il titolare, che ci ha portato il conto che era sui 168 euro circa di tutto scontrandolo di soli 8 euro per l’inconveniente. Ho guardato lo scontrino e addirittura non avevano tolto i 24 euro della grigliata. Alchè infastidito dal comportamento irrispettoso del personale nei confronti di chi porta i soldi (e quindi il lavoro) sono andato in cassa con i soldi contati, togliendo lo sconto che ci aveva presentato il titolare e sottraendo al totale i 24 euro di grigliata che mi sembra al quanto ingiusta da pagare dopo il fattaccio successo. Quando mi sono presentato in cassa, dove era sempre presente il presunto titolare, ho fatto notare che dal conto non era stata tolta la grigliata e lui infastidito ha risposto: “Ma te la sei mangiata!”. A prescindere che ne ho mangiato meno della metà, prima di accorgermi dell’animaletto da voltastomaco, dopo che a un cliente gli succede una cosa del genere io mi scuserei e gli direi che per quella serata lui sarebbe stato mio ospite e che avrebbe potuto riordinare quello che voleva, ma nulla di tutto ciò è accaduto, anzi maleducazione e scortesia l’ hanno fatta da padrone. Infine, stizzito mi ha detto che toglieva i 24 euro accusandomi però di aver mangiato la grigliata. Io non capisco come non si sia vergognato e abbia chiesto umilmente scusa, ma l’educazione ribadisco non appartiene a questo posto. Mai più! E lo sconsiglio fortemente non tanto per il bruco nel piatto, che per carità può anche capitare (ma lavatela l’insalata per favore), ma per la mancanza di educazione che parte da quello che appunto sembrava il...

A really nice, climatic restaurant. The food was delicious. Visited three times and every time our experience was amazing. Although the place can be busy, especially during weekends, waiting time is minimal. From the moment you step into the restaurant the staff is taking a really good care of you. From finding a table that suits your preferences, to explaining the menu. Service is quick and professional. Even on busy Saturday night we got our dishes within couple of minutes. Food in general was really good. During our visits we choosed various types of dishes, from soup, pizza, seafood, pasta and stakes. Everything was fresh and flavourful.
