Osteria Chèz Cocò — Restaurant in La Maddalena

Stayed one night whilst touring Sardegna with my wife. Location is great looking over the marina and ferry port, note you will need to walk up several flights of stairs. Our welcome was somewhat cold compared to all other places we stayed which is disheartening given my wife is Italian. Room is clean with all the basics you would need including air con and a small fridge. However no glasses or water which was supplied at all other places we stayed during our two weeks. After departure we were accused of damaging the towels (which we placed in a pile in the bathroom) and the bed linen (which was also fine when we left). Nice shared balcony to sit on and watch the busy harbour and enjoy the views front and side room have a small balcony whilst the other room faces the street to the rear of the property. Sour end to what should have been one of the highlights...

Yum, the seafood risotto was perfectly undercooked delicious fresh sea animals perfectly cooked smelled herbal and tomatoy when it arrived then the nutty rice, great medium rare entrecôte steak with tomatoes (so nice to have this combo cuz of ideas of the compliment of the tomato’s acid with the steaks fat), the gnocchetti bolognese was great!, plumb flan in a cup was perfect not too sweet so fresh and well balanced, the house white and red wines were pleasant. Sweet staff nice plaster work on the interior walls. Perfect meal...
