Interesting selection of Sardinian wines, well priced. Food was generally good, great salumi... but the service was rude by the main waiter who started by ignoring us and then dropped (dropped! with disdain and left - I think he thought we were English and would not complain) the great local salumi and cheese selection without a word of “enjoy” let alone an explanation of the 4 cheeses and 4 meats... I eat out every day and night at cheap to expensive places, many countries... worst service I can remember for a long time!! So much effort on a great atmosphere, food and wine... a tiny effort on service - customer service makes it complete versus disappointing... customers can be rude, that’s life - professional staff cannot afford to (unless they are the owner and prepared to ruin the business). I’m now smiling, sitting outside down the street drinking cocktails on a beautiful evening at an average place with...
Read moreGreat wine and location, they provide free snack plates which was a nice touch but that's where all the positive things ended. We went here once and went to give it a second go but we ended up leaving mostly cause the service was so horrible. We had the same waiter on both occasions who spoke good english but was extremely rude. I tried to order an Aperol Spritz and got the response "Jesus christ you can't order that" from the waiter, I was surprised at his strong reaction and asked if they didn't serve it and he said they did but you just shouldn't order it at a wine bar, which came across as very rude. The atmosphere also isn't great cause they have heavy metal/very intense music playing, doesn't make for a very relaxing place to chill and enjoy a drink. We asked for water from the waiter more than 4 times and eventually had to go to the bar to get it despite the place not...
Read moreWe sat for over 30 minutes without even being offered a drink. The staff clearly showed no interest in serving guests. Very disappointing experience – definitely not recommended.
Addition: Ah, what a divine revelation! Apparently, we stumbled into a secret restaurant-theater, where guests are not served but enlightened. Imagine it: three proud guardians of the menu, standing silent like ancient statues in response to our polite requests – a truly epic performance of ignorance.
If one despises tourists so much that they are treated like ghosts, perhaps a sign at the door would be helpful: “Entry only for clairvoyants and regulars with the secret handshake.”
But don’t worry, we’ve learned our lesson: not everywhere with tables is there also hospitality. Some places don’t serve pasta – only arrogance...
