Ristorante Da Bocchetta — Restaurant in La Maddalena

I’m staying in Ma&ma hotel resort and hotel wich is very good, because of that we asked for a good restaurant downtown, they recommend 4, and we choose this one for the ambience, but it was a terrible experience. Even though it’s looks like fancy, probably they are having financial problems because they refuse 1 grissini for a 2 year old child! We arrived and order a pasta with tomato sauce for my baby, and told than that I wait until give him the pasta, otherwise my food will be cold. (The restaurant was not full, just 2 tables busy). We order a bottle of wine and pulp as a stater to share until the baby finished his pasta. The pulp was soft but with NO TASTE, taste like nothing! Than My child finished to eat (just ate like 1/4 of the plate) but want one more grissini (which is included in the “coperto”) Then the waitress said there wasn’t anymore. I thought she hasn’t understood because it was just a grissini. Than we askek for another guy. She brought me already eaten grissini, all broken, and than the other waitress brought all new. We has ordered 2 plates: 1 grilled seadfood and a risotto, but we left, since the waitress told us that we are WRONG of complainng since they brought already eaten food to us! Its a disgusting place, not clean, and they abuse on price since they are not offering even 1 GRISSINI! And they are unpolite. We are used to travel And NEVER seen a service like that! Really sorry they are needing to refuse a GRISSINI and a glass (my kid already drink in a normal glass, but the wait refusee to put water for him!!) After having read the comments, I find them really mean. My friend and I are french, we had a great dinner, we came early because we were hungry, the waiters were all kind and very professional. The food was absolutely amazing, truffle pasta for 24€ was pure bliss (try finding that quality with that low price in France or England), the price is worth the quality. Everything is fresh (my friend took the shrimp ravioli) and all our plates came quickly even when the restaurant was full. The coperto has to be paid in every restaurant in Italy, usually we paid 3€ per person, this time was 4€, honestly is 1€ so hard to pay especially for the lovely setting ? The desserts were 8€, the tiramisu was simply perfect and very decent proportions so all in all, don't listen to the negative comments. Definitively book if this is in your budget, it will be a very good moment I assure you.

Pretentious, overpriced and boring. Ordered two dishes - ravioli with shrimps and burrata. The dish looked nice but there was almost nothing on plate - 4 ravioli, one shrimp, a tiny bit of burrata and lots of tomatoes with inedible hard skin. But that was kinda okay compared to my mom’s meal - a duck breast which actually was a 1/4 of duck breast - two thick slices; but the biggest surprise were steamed veggies or actually few ultra thin slices of steamed veggies like carrot and bell pepper. Sauce paired to duck was also bland. We left hungry and paid more than in other restaurants.
