Fontana Fanelli — Restaurant in Laterza

We had quite high expectations as we saw that this restaurant was highly ranked.

The food we had was overall okay. The antipastis were tasty, but took very long to arrive. The "pennette alla vodka" were excellent. We would definitely come back just for this dish. We ordered two margheritas which, as we expected, tasted okay. We ordered a mix of grilled meat which tasted really bland to our taste. Additionnally, we ordered some veal cutlet with lemon sauce. We would not recommend this dish as the lemon in the sauce completely covers the taste of anything else.

Even though we remotely enjoyed the food, we were really disappointed by the service. First of all, I booked a table for 5 people. The waitress made me repeat 3 times that we were 5. As we arrived, the waitress had noted that we would be 4. As they were setting up our table, we felt like we were disturbing them and not welcomed in this restaurant, which made us already really uncomfortable. As she took our order, one of the waitresses told us that if she asked the cook for the plates we ordered, she would get her head cut, which again made us extremely uncomfortable. I asked her why and she never answered. We did not dare to order anything additional after that. The service was extremely slow. No one even stopped quickly at our table to ask if everything was okay. We've had to try to catch their attention to get anything. Surprisingly, we were not served any bread. As we looked around, we say that every other table was served bread. As we felt lile we were annoying them, we did not dare to ask them for any. We felt like the waiters did not really know that they were doing. The tables that were empty around us have not been cleaned up during our whole stay. As the waitresse took away our plates, they kept bending over us instead of turning around the table to get the plates, which, again, made us uncomfortable. As one of the waitresses was serving us our drinks, she bent over my sister and pushed the freezing water bottle she was about to serve in my sister's back, which was really awkward.

I would overall not recommend...

Contraddico in toto la precedente recensione in quanto non siete arrivati alle 21.15, bensì alle 22 circa, e c'è altra gente che può confermare,oltre al fatto che per farvi accomodare avete anche atteso qualche minuto poiché i tavoli erano tutti occupati,quindi finché avete ordinato, (dato che, ribadisco non eravate i soli), penso fosse immaginabile un po d'attesa per le pizze, poi visto che conoscete i ristoranti di sabato sera, dovreste sapere che possono esserci imprevisti del mestiere (tipo qualche pizza che si rifà, il forno a legna che ogni tanto ha bisogno di raffreddamento per poter offrire una pizza al top)..dovreste saperlo...alle 23.15 quando le vostre pizze erano nei piatti che stavamo per portare, avete preteso il conto senza pagarle..(E infatti non ve le abbiamo fatte pagare,ad altre parti lo avreste fatto)io penso che visto che avevate mangiato 2 antipasti (non specifico quali),eravate già sazi ed avete trovato questa scusa...non c'è problema,potevate dirlo subito,ci risparmiavate la fatica di farle..perché dato che dite di conoscere bene tanti locali,mi sa che non immaginate il lavoro che c'è dietro anche per una semplice pizza.. e soprattutto se siete così gente di mondo,avreste potuto risparmiare la pessima figura con la gente che vi ha sentiti parlare...E avreste potuto evitare anche adesso questa splendida recensione...perché mi state facendo......... "SCAPPARE" da...

Contraddico la totalità della recensione precedente in quanto la gente è veramente cattiva nei confronti di professionisti del settore che ci mettono l'anima e il cuore per portare in tavola il massimo della cucina.. La cosa più brutta è essere vigliacchi e nascondersi dietro un pc o smartphone scrivendo baggianate... Dite semplicemente la verità...

tipo la signora che si lamenta di aver pagato 28 euro e non aver mangiato niente... Perché invece non dice il menù che vi hanno proposto con 28 euro?

Menu di mare: Trilogia di mare ( filetto di merluzzo in crosta- fagottino di pesce spada ripieno - conchiglia di mare con pesce spada, salmone, gamberetti, tonno rosso in vellutata...

Gnocchetti rossi di mare Frittura di paranza con contorno decorativo 4 . Semifreddo o tortino al cioccolato Bevande e amari inclusi..

Cosa volevate di più? Considerando che è un menù a base di pesce esclusivamente fresco e non congelato o preso dal supermercato...

Se Per voi una cena raffinata ed elegante è da considerarsi INCLASSIFICABILE come ha scritto vada al McDonald che con 10 euro mangerà, o vada il martedi e il giovedì sera con il giro pizza o giro pennette e spaghetti che con 10 euro mangerà illimitatamente con una bevanda inclusa ...

A... dimenticavo.... Però alla carta ha...
