I can't put less than 1 star, STAFF very BAD, food quite good, nothing special, DISGUSTING PRICE, NEVER AGAIN. FIND ANOTHER PLACE! I took 1 starter, 1 first course, 2 beers (1 small, 1 large) and 2 coffee --> 25 euro ??? Look price!!! 2 euro coffee at the table in plastic cup --> THIEVES There was also an error in the bill! Never never again! Not acceptable in south italy!!! --------- restaurant owner's answer: I'm sorry to answer you in that way, I stay in the center town so i have prices (? I think he wanna say he had some costs), 2 euros for a coffee is too much? Next time stay at your home, dont come to Italy and then if was an error (in the bill), we are humankind we could make mistakes goodbye 🖐🖐🖐 ----‐-------- First of all, IM ITALIAN so I'm in my home (like you said), then 2 euros for a coffee when you make lunch in the same place (the cover was 1,50 euro) is a robbery, (i dont wanna talk about plastic cup for coffee, i will buy for you cups if you need it but stop with this) and then i wrote in english for all the foreigners that wanna visit Lecce! Have a nice day!

Looked appealing when we entered. Nice old world atmosphere, with antique/vintage pots/pans/etc. as wall decor. But upon closer inspection when I looked above my head, I could see price tags with bar code labels on the bottom of each piece (zoom in on photo). Not exactly authentic… It was warm and stuffy inside. There was a ceiling fan but it wasn’t working. I had to hold my hair off my sweaty neck with one hand whilst I ate. The mixed green salad appeared to be large chunks of iceberg lettuce, not anything like the awesome “insalata mista” I have experienced at other local restaurants in Lecce. The pizza was just okay. Although mine was vegetarian, there was an excessive amount of grease from the cheese I suspect. The female server did not appear to speak English — that or she preferred not to and we did our best to understand her. On the positive side, the pizza prices were very reasonable. All in all, there are better places to eat a meal.

Popped into the bar area and got ourselves a coffee, some spiced olive bread and some focaccia con patate with onions. As always with these places, pay for slices of bread by weight and individual items on a per item basis. Very reasonably priced. The variety of what was on offer meant we could have feasted all day on both sweet and savoury. They also had a ristorante area for sit down pastas and pizza, which looked delicious.

The worst service I've had so far in Lecce. I first sat down in the outdoor patio area, waited about 20 minutes with no service. Only to find out the outdoor area is self serve by the cafeteria next door, a sign would be helpful.

We get sat down at a table, menus were thrown at us, and we order food with a disgruntled waiter. He seemed stressed or just unhappy. All the tables around us got free bread, we did not. My boyfriend and I both order a pizza, no appetizer or drinks, this took over 40 minutes to get our food. The pizza was mediocre at best, and we finish the meal quickly. We had to ask for the check 4 times, only to get ignored. I noticed that all tables around us got a free watermelon dessert, except for us. Keep in mind, all of these tables were Italian.

We got up and finally paid at the counter. No bread, no free dessert , no service, and no friendliness.

If you're not Italian, don't step foot...
