A True Hidden Gem – We Couldn’t Stay Away! We discovered this little gem on a Sunday evening and ended up coming back two more times – that’s how good it was! On our first visit, we arrived around 5 PM planning for dinner, but decided to keep it light. We had a ham and cheese toast which was simple and tasty, but the real star was the dessert – a homemade tart served with ice cream, recommended by our waiter. It was absolutely divine. Our second visit was even better. I had the grilled cutlet with roasted potatoes – packed with flavour and cooked to perfection. For dessert, I tried the trio of mini desserts, including tiramisu and panna cotta. Each one was beautifully presented and delicious. By the third visit, it already felt like a favourite local spot. I started with a smooth whitefish pâté, followed by a classic pepperoni pizza – crispy, cheesy, and just right. And yes, I had the trio of mini desserts again (couldn’t resist the tiramisu!). What made the experience even better was the warm and welcoming staff. Both the waiter and waitress were so friendly, helpful, and had great recommendations every time. It felt like dining at a friend’s home – relaxed, cozy, and full of heart. Thank you for the amazing food and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back again!

Ristorante Aurora Lezzeno offers a sumptuous dining experience along the shore of Lake Como. I began with the local appetizer platter—a harmonious arrangement of lake whitefish prepared in delicate variations, complemented by silky salmon and a tender scallop, all served with golden toasted bread. Each bite was a gentle celebration of the region’s flavors. The lemon risotto followed, crowned with crisp, lightly fried local fish—a dish both vibrant and refined. To finish, I indulged in the dessert sampler—a decadent finale featuring a cloud-like tiramisu and a luxuriously smooth panna cotta. The setting, with its sweeping view of the water, was as soothing as the meal itself. Free parking added ease, and the service was warm, and sincerely welcoming.

We had 1 lunch and 1 dinner here. Recommend the lake fish sampler so you can try a variety of lake fish in different forms. Our favorite is the white fish pate. The ingredients in the Spaghettone con missoltino (air dried Agone fish) are delicious together but be warned the fish is very salty (like sardines). Risotto con filetto di pesce persico (breaded perch fish) is nice and creamy but the fish is a bit bland. Loved that the lasagna bolognese was cooked down a lot. HUGE selection of pizzas for dinner: La Rossa is good but again catered for salt lovers (anchovies, olives, capers). Also if you are undecided about dessert like we were, highly recommend the dessert trio. Ambiance is good: pretty casual with a view of Lake Como and heaters.

Ristorante Aurora in Lezzeno brings together the best of Italian cuisine and a mesmerizing setting. Nestled on a terrace overlooking Lake Como, this restaurant offers panoramic views that are breathtaking. The menu features a delightful selection of Italian classics and local specialties, from pasta dishes to pizzas and delectable meat and lake fish options.

Having explored various dishes on the menu, I have not been disappointed by any of them so far. The flavors are expertly crafted, showcasing the skill and passion of the chefs in the kitchen. Among the standout dishes, the lavarello with crispy sage has left a lasting impression and has become a personal favorite.

The service deserves praise as well. The staff is attentive, friendly, and dedicated to ensuring that every guest feels well taken care of.

While Aurora offers delightful food and service, I see minor room for improvement by incorporating some Italian music in the background to complement the captivating atmosphere.

All in all, Ristorante Aurora provides an outstanding dining experience. With its stunning views, exquisite cuisine, and great service, it is a destination that guarantees a memorable and enjoyable time for anyone seeking a taste of Italian culinary delights amidst the splendor...
