Pizza Sprint — Restaurant in Lignano Sabbiadoro

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alright, this review is going to be longer than usual — because 5 stars simply aren’t enough. Let me tell you why you have to visit this place if you’re in Lignano Sabbiadoro — or even why it’s worth coming to Lignano just for this experience.

We were already intrigued when we saw the small outdoor seating area packed with happy people enjoying their food, and a line of customers stretching out onto the street. Still, the queue moved quickly. The staff worked with incredible energy, precision, and coordination — it was like watching a perfectly timed performance. They pulled pizzas from the counter, prepared new ones, grilled hot dogs — all while remaining genuinely friendly and attentive.

I’ve had a lot of pizza across Italy and around the world, but I can confidently say that what I ate here was among the very best. The pizzas are made continuously in the background and placed in the counter display, from where they are reheated upon order — yet they taste like they just came out of the oven. The crust and toppings are flawless, full of flavor. Trust me: these guys are geniuses. They’ve found a way to combine the speed of fast food with the quality of a proper restaurant. That’s truly impressive.

It reminded me of the movie The Founder and the brilliance of the McDonald brothers. Fittingly, I later found out that this place is also run by two brothers.

There are too many details to list, because they thought of everything. From the layout of the space and the menu boards to the mouthwatering food photos, upbeat music, and even the packaging — everything tells you this isn’t just a business, it’s a passion project.

And here’s the cherry on top — they realized we were Hungarian and greeted us in our own language with a warm “jó étvágyat.” That’s not just politeness. That’s heart.

For me, this place and these three guys represent everything I love about Italy: the passion, the hospitality, the incredible food. I’ll absolutely be back — and if you stop by, I promise, you won’t...

Fast food with a long wait for order, even though there were only a few people in front of me and it was not a rush hour. But it is better to buy a whole pizza for that price, because one slice is expensive. The pizza was exposed as pre-cooked and they just finished baking it, which would have been good but they probably left it a little longer in the rush there. Many people liked it, they have many orders so I wanted to give it a try, but I had no luck, it tasted average. I had one with salame and cheese. I was expecting more with that good rating, even...

Druhý rok po sobě, tedy s odstupem, dáváme nejvyšší hodnocení za oba roky. Minulý rok jsme s rodinou byli v apartmánu sotva 200 metrů vzdáleném od této pouliční pizzerie. Měli jsme ji cestou na pláž a zpět. Bylo tedy logické se tu zastavit a dát si jídlo. A ejhle, pizza byla výborná. K tomu všemu nevtíravé, usměvavé, až veselé chování kluků - (říkáme jim kluci, je mi padesát a jim 30-35 let?). Nakonec jsme se ženou a dětma každý den zakončili pizzou právě u nich. Letos jsme vybrali apartmán téměř 2 km vzdálený a přeci nám každý večer stojí za to, jít si k nim do pizzerie na vysokou židli dát jejich jídlo. Nic se nezměnilo, pizza stejně dobrá, kluci stále usměvaví a co víc, to potěší, pamatovali si nás. Považte důležitou věc - tihle kluci, minimálně na několik měsíců v roce NEMAJÍ žádný osobní život. Otevírají dopoledne a ještě před půlnocí jsou stále veselí a usměvaví na svém místě, a to KAŽDÝ den. Zdá se to nemožné, ale je to tak. Jistě má každý z nich svou rodinu, a kdyby přeci ne, mají rodiče, mají příbuzné, své starosti a bolesti a přeci za tím pultem stojí každý den a nikdy nepolevují ve své srdečnosti. Kdo z nás by tohle zvládl?! Neuvěřitelné. Za sebe, za manželku, za naše dva kluky - děkujeme. A pokud se již nikdy do Lignana nevrátíme, vždy si Lignano spojíme i s Vámi - ať jste šťastní a ať se Vám ve všem daří co nejlépe. Díky - Vaši spokojení...
